League Cup Quarter Final Draw - Hull City (a) - to be played w/c 28th Nov

Recommended Posts

Hull play WBA and Boro either side of playing us.

You'd think if Hull have aspirations to stay in the PL they'd want their best team fresh for the winnable game against Boro after us.

EDIT: They play Boro on the Monday Night Football, so it might not be such a rotated team if they've got 6 days to prepare

Very very happy ! Would of preferred to of got a home draw ! But that is very winnable ! I suspect unite, Liverpool and arsenal all to get through so there will be no chance of us getting past the semis but too get there would be fantastic ! When was the last time we made the semis of the league cup ? 1976 ?

They won 2-1 in the third and fourth rounds, but have lost five straight league games. League form is P7 W0 D1 L6.

Also Pardew won there 1-4 and Carver 0-3.

Sammy Ameobi was canny in that 3 nill iirc

Elmohamedy (sp) blatant handball just before half time

What sort of allocation will they give us? Usually only give 2,500 don't they?

They won't be close to sell-out so want to be giving us 5k minimum.

I'm going to be scrabbling around for Leeds/Hull tickets like a mad c***.

Stadium holds 25,586 and they have to give us a minimum of 15% which is 3,838.

So should it be easy for a ST holder with nee loyalty points to go?

It might drop to 0 but the tickets will be gone instantly if it does.

Spurs away in the League Cup quarter final last year sat on 0 points for ages and we had a canny allocation there. Understand the different circumstances but midweek games a few weeks before xmas do have a slightly reduced demand.

In previous seasons we've been capable of beating any of those teams and that was with an absolutely shocking defense.

I'm happy with the draw we got but I honestly think we're compact enough, patient enough and are passing it around well enough to give any of those teams a tough game.

So how does it work after the 1/4 finals? Do the remaining teams get drawn for the semis? And is the semi final over two legs? (yes I could google this but i'm asking..)

Only downside is we might not get a big allocation.

Entitled to 10 per cent in cup games, so only 2500 guaranteed, all being well theyll give us more but they dont have too like

No chance mate - we'll get a huge allocation and sell it easily!

Just realised that 15% minimum is only for the FA Cup :huff: EFL rules state 10%

2,500 it is then, whilst we play in a stadium with thousands of empty home seats.

22.2 In all Cup Competition matches, the Visiting Club shall have the right to claim 10 per cent of all tickets reserved or otherwise sold in advance (any variation to that figure shall be subject to the consent of the Management Committee)
