If (and it's the biggest if) SDJ can stay fit we might have a decent player on our hands. Unlikely though sadly.

not even close to being worth taking the gamble, sell him for anything at all and get rid of the wages

use wages for a player who will actually play

Would rather not have racist, home-wrecking scum near our team.

This, also his legs have completely gone.

Would Jesé Rodríguez be worth a punt, on loan maybe?

I think he wants to stay in Spain, Boro were after him but he decided to stay in Spain despite them offering better terms.

Alright, didn't know this  He can stay and eat his Paella then.

Sounds ideal. 'Wiki research'

"Jesé is able to play across the front line, operating either as an attacking midfielder, second striker or centre-forward, or in his favoured position out on the wing. During his time at the Castilla, Jesé was often deployed in a false 9 role in the team's 4–3–3 formation, and regularly switched flanks due to his ability to use both feet. In 2013, in his role as the club's sporting director at the time, Zinedine Zidane declared himself an admirer of Jesé's direct style of football and goal scoring ability. Following Jesé's promotion to Real Madrid's first team in 2013, manager Carlo Ancelotti played him in a winger position, often cutting inside from the wing both with the ball and without, to create chances and score goals."

Joins Coco at the top of my Christmas list, if we actually get this thing done.

P.s. Maybe he can ask Rafa where he likes to dine... .

Anthony Martial realistic enough? He could play the Torres of Liverpool role... ?

Don't think it's realistic at all with our current ambitions, but it's the sort of signing we should be looking at if we are hiring the likes of Benitez as manager.

"He was a member of Monaco's squad for two seasons, and signed for Manchester United in 2015 for an initial fee of £36 million which could potentially rise to £57.6 million" means he's probably slightly out of our league like.
