Gouffran is one of our biggest problems. We are absolutely desperate for somebody to come in and take his shirt off him.

Agree with that, he slows down our play so much.

Yup. Slows absolutely everything down because all he can do is pass the ball the way he is facing with his right foot.

He offers nothing. A winger who's afraid to can't take players on or put a decent cross into the box. Lost count of the number of times he'll get the ball out wide one on one vs a fullback, check back and pass to Dummett who'll float a shite ball into the box which the opposition will easily clear.

It's just not acceptable in this division to essentially give up one of your wings. That's what it is at the moment. We don't have a winger on that side and we're supposed to be the best team in the league.

The Gouffran problem is exacerbated when we go behind. When we need to come out of our system of play, play a bit more off the cuff and with more urgency he is simply incapable of doing so. Because he can't dribble or take on a player.

Just a shocking footballer, in all honesty.

One of our biggest is width. We always look to be playing through the middle. None of our wide men, wingers nor fullbacks deliver consistently decent crosses.

Rafa spends most of the game telling us to be more narrow.

Probably smart considering they can't cross for s*** and when they happen to get the ball past the first man it's Gayle vs two tall center backs.

Getting to the crossing positions out wide isn't a problem.

Ritchie could at Bournemouth, I wonder why he can't now ?

I agree that there is a Gouffran problem but when we go behind it's a team problem.

Aye, bang on. So many people had seemingly forgotten how shit he'd been for years after getting a few goals this season

No criticism for Darlow for the goal? It's on his side, you don't expect to concede on that side in that situation.

It's poor from him.

It was just the collective anger at the syphilitic ginger piss biscuit that got us into that situation in the first place, which overlooked the poor keeping from Darlow.

If the one thing that Gouffran is meant to offer is defensive support to Dummett then surely Lazaar has to be worth a try on the left wing. Also 100% agree that Anita should take Colbacks role with Yedlin in at right back.

Perez has just gone as any sort of player so a new signing to replace Diame is a must.

He's our joint top assister this season. At least pick on a player befitting of your relentless agenda.

Blackburn played like the away side. We had loads of possession but little penetration or sustained threat, we are slow in possession when the oppo plays deep, our wide men do not go past their full back and we have no one in midfield who can dribble passed a man and pull the oppo out of shape.

Blackburn are a terrible side, Rafa has to take a lot of the blame today. The team showed no tempo, nous, real desire or most worryingly any real ability to put Blackburn away.

Colback was woeful again but Ritchie, Gouffran, Hayden and for large parts Diame were very poor, Perez may as well have stayed on the bench. It's a huge concern when so many players in key areas aren't performing. Forget the possession stats and the shots tally, at no point did Blackburn look really under the cosh, they weren't pulled out of shape and they were comfortable conceding possession and allowing us to shoot from range.

Brighton are so much better than us just now. We need to turn this around or we will lose a good few more.

What the hell was that? A close runner-up to Forest in most bizarre games I have seen. It is hard to strongly criticise, when you've been as dominant, without it sounding like sour grapes. However, we needed something different. Ritchie wasn't getting past anyone. When he or Hayden threaded the ball through it was always Gayle against three defenders, who didn't seem to shift the whole game. Except when they were joined by another six or seven teammates.

We then started relying on a left-sided attack. Gouffran didn't go past anyone and more often than not the ball into the box was from Dummett, from deep: floating and easy to defend. Diame looked busy, but too deep. Again, Rafa was slow to change. The first half stats were ridiculous, except they really just illustrated that Blackburn were happy to sit back and let us huff and puff. And why wouldn't they be? Every other shit team have shown them the way. We are predicable and void of ideas. If we're not careful we could really fuck this up. We only looked like we had them rattled in the last few minutes. Even though Murphy and Perez had nowhere near enough time/sight of the ball to make a difference. Rafa needs someone whispering in his ear who isn't just spouting his own rhetoric/kissing his ass.

Did you see the post to which I was responding ? Did you read yourself the player saying he hasn't been playing well ?

(Just back in and can't be bothered read everything yet)

We're not going to win many games with only 3 attackers on the pitch. Subs were at the wrong time and team had no idea how to play with 2 up front (for the tiny amount of time Murphy was on). Rafa has lots of work today but mostly on his philosophy of trying primarily not to lose games

'getting into crossing positions' isn't 'playing well'
