Both Mooy and Cairney are too similar to Shelvey imo; Mooy more so. We need a replacement for Diame; we have a lack of mobility in midfield and nobody is capable of going past an opponent and breaking their shape. The players mentioned all rely on their passing. If Cairney had a bit more pace he'd have so much more to his game.

Based on the little I've seen I think Mooy's not as flamboyant as Shelvey but is perhaps a better decision maker. Probably better at winning the ball in challenges as well

He's not given enough credit in analysis imo, he's great.

He should really have scored considerably more - he's missed so many sitters.

That's a good sign for next season as a player on 20 goals.
