Newcastle United 1 - 0 Burton Albion - 05/04/17 - NUFC relegated to League Two

If one of our players have fouled there's in the box running up, then surely it's encroachment from Burton so it's retaken or something? Just. What. The. Fuck.

No booking either, so can't be an off the ball foul.

Can anyone find anything in the laws of the game which can even begin to explain that decision?

again

Indirect FK if wrong player deliberately takes the penalty (+ YC to player who took the kick)

Indirect FK if ball kicked backwards

If 'illegal' feinting occurs it is always an indirect FK (and YC to the kicker)

That last one would be my guess... not that I've seen it.

Why the fuck would one of our players do a foul when we are taking a penalty?!!

Even if there was, the encroachment precedes any fouls, so that should be the decision that's given. It's just mental.

You mean the s**** John Aldridge pulled about 70 pens in a row in the 80's? That's f***ing demented

What if the ball wasn't on the spot? Is that a freekick to the opposition?

Referee normally just tells the player to put it on the spot before hand...and not give a free-kick 5 yards to the right. It's insane.

And he's not been booked either.
