Aye we essentially forgoed having a right wide side after he went off and heroic Harvey did nowt. Was an odd one and he’s not one you’d expect needing rest.

Aye subs were poor today. And surely if you're 1-0 down and seeing plenty of the ball you bring Wissa on to play with Woltemade and also leave your best crosser of the ball on the pitch.

He’s our best and most productive winger, let that sink in.

Jacob Murphy - who struggled for years has been (for absolutely ages now) a really dependable player for us.

Someone help me up, I wasn't ready for this groundbreaking news!

Fwiw Gordon and Barnes both have better numbers than him this year.

Excluding Gordon's penalties?

Bad game but from where I was sitting in the leazes east corner you could see him talking with the crowd in the east stand.

All I would say is if the lad is struggling 50 thousand people booing or giving him grief  during the game is not going to help.

I can never be too upset with Murphy, for all his limitations he's contributed to getting us into the champions league twice and assisted the winning goal in the cup final, he will have good games and bad games but i am more disappointed with the fact that his 55m replacement looks far worse than he is.

He'll never terrorise a team for 90 minutes. If anything, he'll lull them into a false sense of security. Because he's always got that perfect cross/delivery in him at any time, and that's why his states for assists are as good as they are.

He is what he is, and tbh, he's 5X the player I thought he'd be when he first signed.

You can see he's trying his best but his general play was awful today, couldn't get it under control, lost possession, dwelt on it too long, couldn't get his crosses in, struggled to beat his man etc. He kept going to his credit but his numbers are going to look horrendous in May. He's not got Isak on the end of things this season and hasn't built that relationship up with either Wissa nor Wolt yet. He looks a bit of a passenger and a really poor footballer atm being brutally honest

A poor game from him, but he put in a decent amount of defensive work which isn't being credited.

He has great attributes but when opposition teams correctly play him and don't allow him space in behind his limitations, particularly his inability to go past a player with the ball, are really highlighted.

Weak, bottles all 50/50's, cant pass, cant control a ball, ball watches, sleeps on his full back cover, jogs back when defending - But can cross a decent ball.

Needs replacing or needs to work harder on the basics of putting more effort into the above.

Possibly one of the worst performances I've seen today, not sure he completed one pass to a teammate.

I don’t really remember this pre-Howe performances that much but I think that’s the worst I’ve seen him play in the last few years. Everything broke down on the right hand side because of him in the first half. I was amazed he wasn’t taken off.

I feel like he used to get into way more goalscoring positions. He's usually a bit lost now.

I think we'll always benefit if he's whipping 10 balls in per game, but rest of his game is quite shoddy at the moment.

Some extended verbal sparring with a lad in the East Stand in the first half. Bemoaned a lack of effort after he has rather casually been caught off side. Bit unbecoming but perhaps indicative of where his head was.

Why do people think slagging players off will improve their performance. Murphy was intentionally poor today
