He has his flaws, no player is perfect. But what a season he is having.

To reemphasise my point from the other day. I want us to go after a right footer to play RW and that is based on watching him for us this season.

The balance of the team is much better and Isak clearly loves playing with him/a more natural winger on that side.

Nice to see an old school right footed right winger, add a different element to our attack.

To think quite a few have been dead against playing a right footer out there.

Still can be very effective, just like it was in the past.

Pretty sure he'd be on about 7 or 8 goals now if his crossbar goals had gone in  pretty nuts numbers really

It's because our own fans actively will the goal to be smaller so they can complain about him when he misses

He’s been productive for over a season now. Similar G/A per minutes to last season.

I noticed his assists per minutes stat last year and made a post somewhere saying he'll get 10-15 assists this year with enough starts.

He still has his limitations, but he is a phenomenal passer of the ball in the final third when he gets a couple of seconds.

The weight of the pass into Isak was excellent. Just fizzed in enough to give the defender no chance of intercepting.

Just take for granted these days that Isak is gonna take it in his stride and finish so easily.

But love the connection the two of them have at the moment. All Murph wants to do is feed Isak the ball. Shame Isak and Gordon haven't quite got the same link up but Gordon has his own qualities.

I never noticed it last year. When you go to his Fbref his numbers of 365 days are superb - there’s no over performance it’s in line with his expected data over a long period of time.  Then I checked his stats from last season, pretty impressive considering he was in and out the side.

As someone said - it’s unlikely a new RW would’ve been as productive as Murphy.  Murphy’s been more productive than Gordon in the PL has he not?

Delighted for him.

He’s a weird player though. As someone Said he can strike a ball so cleanly which is why he creates so many chances. But at times he can barely pass 4-yards

When Miggy leaves we really don't have to go too crazy now.

Just find a younger talent with some experience that can back up Murphy.

Minteh would have been well suited but ... you know.

I saw some mention of us really liking Nuamah at Lyon. That would be the sort of profile that would work well.

His 4 yard pass problem is cos he can't cope with a high press situation. He needs those couple of seconds where he only needs to think about the pass.

Seems to have improved recently in ball retention by being careful and passing back if needed.  But he's kept the same aggression and confidence up front.  He's a really good traditional winger, gets a yard and crosses low between the attack and keeper, takes a chance with a shot when he can.  He's much better than so many people gave him credit for.
