Mikel Merino (now playing for Arsenal)

Recommended Posts

Surely not even we are that daft, we can't be looking to offload so soon....

A player can be registered for up to three clubs per season, but only play for two in competitive matches.

He's played for us, did he play beforehand though is the question?

I'm really not willing to assume a bottom limit on the depth of this regime's incompetence.

Exactly. The default should be to always believe the most mental decisions.

Imagine if Ashley just sold everybody and stuck him and Charnley in the line-up for tomorrow. Scores an own goal intentionally in the last minute and runs around the stadium shushing the fans.

Fantacist: he’d never still be running at the final whistle.

What would be the point of that.

Marcos Llorente at Real who is also a DM and not Llorente at Spurs.

This can only be happening because the injury is not going to allow Merino to get back to full performance anytime soon, and Rafa isn't happy with the options we currently have.

Who knows at this point ... we're just such a disgusting club.

If, and its clearly a big IF, there is any truth in this, maybe Merino's (back) injury is more longterm.. i.e. not be able to play too many consecutive games.

Hence us taking first opportunity to offload, especially if we can get this Llorente kid in?

EDIT: Aye, what Kaka said
