Obviously for us the choice is pretty simple. Anything from 1992 to 1997 was nothing short of magic. Saying that, beyond that there was still so much to love from the football of that time, and I imagine that the older members on here will have similar feelings going further back. Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to start a football nostalgia thread. It doesn't have to be anything more than just personal memories, no matter how new or old they are. I remember thinking it would improve my kick up, but all it did was make me lazy. They were absolutely crap, I think I used it, at most, 10 times and then just hoyed it in a box in the shed. I still remember those days were the 302 teletext days and 303/304? for the scores. My first game was an FA Cup game at home to Mansfield Town. Shearer scored the winner with 10 minutes to go I think. Grim game. January '06 it was so it is Souness, aye. Boring Milner but I was young when we were playing Sheffield Wednesday in SBR's first home game and I was sick of teletext flicking through all the scores so I pressed HOLD to keep it on the newcastle score.
