Ikon
Kenedy just got himself a Toon henna tattoo while Yedlin got himself a barcode in his neck. Darlow just had an ice cream.

Felling Mag
I read somewhere it was a 17m offer which included a 45m buy back option for Chelsea.

The College Dropout
I've got Ashley Stockholm Syndrome. I winced at £17m.
Stifler
£17m, still no record breaking deal.
George Bailey
As if we will be spending 17m on any one player If we spend 17m net spend this summer it will be a miracle. All signs point to an utter cluster fuck of a transfer window with the return of some dickhead like Pardew or Allardyce as the inevitable outcome. Guest
Even with the buyback clause I think that's an attractive deal for both parties.
mrmojorisin75
maybe chelsea are digging our pay up front for a slightly lesser fee jive given their financial shenanigans atm...we should raid the fuck out of them if so
Pilko
17m is a bargain like. Even Ashley must see the potential resale in that deal ffs.
afar
Would be a great deal for all parties tbh, no problem with the buy back fee. Think it's likely because he's in the right age bracket for Ashley's liking. The biggest concern though is the competition we may face.
Tiresias
He will wait for other offers too though, he may pick us if Rafa stays but we won't pay the best wages
Raconteur
Buy back clause, eh? Not making that mistake again, Roman?
TRon
"All the players, all the staff, they made me feel at home. I felt good. I gained confidence from the amazing support and I really enjoyed it. Maybe one day I will be back." That last sentence makes me think he's probably headed elsewhere, I'd like to believe we really have put in a £17m bid but let's just say I remain sceptical. If we haven't submitted a bid at that price then it is an early indication of how the summer will go. Of course Mike's only stupid when it comes to football, so he'll probably make the bid but lose out on wages. And we'll still be in the dark.

Wallsendmag
This is one of the reasons I don't like loan deals. £20m probably would get him and £5m gets Dubravka but we're spending a huge chuck of our transfer budget just to have the same team we had at the end of last season. This is weird logic. Nothing weird about it. We need to spend £25m to have the same team we had at the back end of last season. That's nothing to do with logic it's just a fact. For a club who will have a transfer budget on the wrong side of £50m it's a huge chunk of money we need to spend to have the same team as we had for the last 4 months of last season. So you would rather have had a worse team last season? No I'd rather we stopped relying on the loan system and actually spend money on buying players that are ours to keep. AyeDubbleYoo
Soz, deleted that since I was being a nob In that sense you're right, just after we've had really successful loan signings seems not the best time to make the argument.
