Joselu (now playing for Al Gharafa)

Recommended Posts

Had some very decent moments today. Hopefully he's got a lot of desire because he has pretty much free reign on the CF position; he's never been first choice in this league before so hopefully he takes this chance and can be an asset for us. It's important that he does well because we ain't signing a proven striker.

I read 20+ pages on the Stoke forum about him and this was by far their biggest complaint about the guy, hopefully he feels as though he’s got something to prove here.

Important for a new striker at any club to get a goal fairly early, otherwise the pressure can quickly become a burden. Glad he got one today.

Goal aside he did really well - won loads of headers, nice flick ons, closed down - he worked really hard today.

Won a load of headers and duels today against Ogbonna and Collins, pretty impressed.

You can see why a lot of Stoke fans were sad to see him leave. He won far more balls than I expected him to and his link up play was very good. For the

price we paid he looks like a bargain.

Delighted he's off the mark, having a striker other than Gayle that Rafa fancies as a starter is very important for us. Didn't see the game today but the radio made it sound like he was quite useful in build up play which we lacked up top against Spurs and Huddersfield.
