You can't tell me they couldn't sell him for 70m and replace him with somebody better off the continent for 40m. Same with Zaha, I'm sure Arsenal could get better in Europe for 40-50m than him. Buying players from PL teams is almost pointless as there are just as good players in Europe at half the price. Look at the amount of players that get signed from France, Belgium, Holland, Portugal etc for like 12m then are worth 4/5 times that a year or 2 later Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

There is. Fees on the continent aren't that bad it's just the greed of the PL where it's mental. I bet there are centre halfs who go this summer for between 10-30m who are better than Maguire and end up higher rated.
