Kaka liking it shows it’s wrong :cheesy:

I like Grealish but I think Pep's instructions have him overthinking everything.

He looks so robotic and unsure of when to just express himself now unfortunately.

For the level of talent around him Grealish has been okay at Man City.

Mahrez, DeBruyne, Bernardo, Gundogan, Foden all perform at a higher level than him IMO.

Even Sterling and Jesus before him looked more threatening in that wide position.

He's been okay.

Whenever I watch him all he seems to do is receive the ball on the left wing, sidestep down the touch line 10 yards with it then pass it back 5 yards.

I don’t think Harry Kane makes or breaks Spurs. They’re too rich. They will be a good manager hire and transfer window or two  away from CL places for the next few years atleast.

I don't think it's as easy as that any more to be honest, Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City are all going to be really strong, then add in Us, Villa & Brighton who are really trying to break up that monopoly.

It just feels that losing the one player they bank on time and again/ their only real world class player will put them back a little bit.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're fighting for Europa League for a year or two.

Obviously they have that money to reinvest, and I rate Ange as a good manager and one that fits Spurs, so it could be a situation whereby they need to cut that weight to be able to progress long term. As its got to the point where they are so reliant on Kane that it could be deemed as detrimental to the overall performance of the team.

He’d get in every team in the league

Exactly. He's become so hesitant. It's a classic case of thinking too much.

In which he plays pretty much every game. You reckon pep picks him for no reason?

This guy man

I've explained my stance.

In all honesty I'd start Foden over him every single time.

But I'm sure Pep has his reasons.

Grealish at Man City is a weird one. He’s obviously not on the same level as others in the squad talent wise, but he’s made himself pretty valuable to Guardiola through his work rate, he’s basically a water carrier. The diving little gobshite should probably be commended for that.

Grealish was excellent for City last year. I was previously doubtful of his ability at that level but it's disingenuous to suggest that he didn't play consistently well in what was an all conquering side. He barely had a single bad game.

“I’m not being managed by a bloke who probably fucks animals” is what he’s rumoured to have said as to why he doesn’t want the move.

You rate Gonzalez? Thought he looked good versus at the weekend and would be a good option for our right wing slot

Foden and Mahrez couldn’t even get into the team last season.

Pep seems happy with him in the system. Happier than he is with Foden. So I’ll take that as him being good. Pep is all about the system and he seems happy with Grealish in it.

Trying to suggest he didn't play that much football is mad, too. Pep rotates all of his wide players freely, none of them will ever start or even play in 38 league games. Bernardo only started 24 league games, Foden even less.

The only ones that play every game if fit are Ederson, Rodri, De Bruyne and Haaland.

Dare I say it like ASM under EH.

Grealish has been average overall for Man City. That’s not to say he’s an average player which seems to be what people are struggling to make the distinction between.

As @geordie_b said he’s had one poor season (I don’t think anyone can argue that?) and his second season started off slowly but ended very well in the home straight albeit in the Final of the ECL and this years CS the other day he wasn’t anything special again.

I don’t disagree he’d probably get into most teams in the league as if you get into Man City’s then it goes without saying. However I do think he’d “look” possibly a better player elsewhere.
