Do they have an ambitious project? Not super familiar with how they’ve been operating lately,

Their ambitious project of attempting to not finish on a lower points tally than Derby in 07/08

Caniggia at Dundee.

I forgot about him.

True story, Dunfermline were once apparently very close to singing Diego Maradona jr, but we missed out on him due to not agreeing on image rights. He's obviously a pretty average player, but the PR alone would have raised the club's profile with him attached. Loads of fans with Maradona on their Pars shirts would have been super cool.

I think we tried to sign an ageing Ronny Whelan too (and Phil Babb).

It still hurts to think of Waddle in a F*lkirk strip. C*nts.

Keeping as many young players "in the game" is fair enough imo.

25 in the squad. Allow 2-3 long-term injuries outside of that. 3-5 that need loans for some reason like Hayden. Anymore is too much imo. What's that 33?

When you put it like that then 33-35 does seem reasonable.

I wish we were doing stuff like this, signing other clubs 30 something players for a year or two whilst we wait for either one of our own to become ready or we find a better option over the next few windows.

I think once we get the first-team ready RW, GK & RCB, then this along with taking a few more punts will be the next stage.

Can see him flopping. Something like 23 apps, 4 goals, loaned out to Wolfsburg next summer.

Remembered posting this about him, 20 apps, 3 goals it was in all comps. Not a bad guess.

Do we even have the luxury of doing this?

Most players in their 30s are on the biggest contract they're going to get, we'd have to match their wages which will disrupt our finances.

We've got plenty of experience already in the team I'm not sure we need many other old players on high wage with no sell on value

Real Madrid looking at Fullkrug, I'm guessing to fill the Joselu role.

Why do they not sign someone else better? Almost everyone will run there being a backup.

Top 6 privilege really. Maybe something we could do with a Saudi loan?

Someone much better will want to play frequently. Even at Real Madrid.

We could do with this profile at CM or even upfront. Get Doucoure in as back-up, get Miley out on loan.

Im not talking about the best. There are a lot of quality between Fullkrug and the best. You dont think Schade or Kalimuendo would jump at the chance?

"We understand that Doucoure would consider a move to Saudi if a club agreed to pay him a wage of £8m per year, which works out at around £160,000 per week."

We can't afford to that for a 32 year old to sit on the bench most of the time

Was the most predictably bad signing you could ever imagine really. Couldn't believe they dropped 30 mill on a player of his age and profile in the PSR era.

Schade? No. You want someone hungry in that position. Him going to Real to sit on the bench doesn’t reflect well on anyone. And he’s too similar to what they have.

It’s a Plan B out and out striker. Not someone that requires development.

We aren’t a Saudi club.  He’ll know if he wants to stay in the PL he won’t get £160k.

I wouldn't even want to give him even half of that
