Also at St James' Park for the day was former United chairman Chris Mort, who also represented Amanda Staveley and PCP Capital Partners Ltd during takeover negotiations last year. However, Mort was not sat alongside Ashley, and seemingly the lawyer was merely back on Tyneside to take in the game, rather than on any official business.

Seriously man.

I put this in the TMG thread but thought it might be worth putting in here too:

I was thinking about some of the "chanting" discussion in the match thread, and was wondering how hard it would be to coordinate 20 guys (or 50 or 100) who all stand up at 60 minutes, walk over to Ashley and chant in his face (until they get removed).

20 guys? Who would be willing to risk being banned to make a scene on TV? Wouldn't be hard to slip Sky the word to tee them up - "Cameras on Ashley on 60 minutes"; they'd televise it for sure.

Would be something perhaps for the "chucked it in" camp - pay for one last ticket for the express purpose of yelling in Ashley's face, at the cost of being banned from games you don't want to go to anyway?

he would be quickly surrounded by security guards, escorted down the steps and never seen in SJP again.  and the whole shit show would just roll on as is.

It only ends when he sells,  He only sells when the fans stop paying him to stay.

It’s more the fact that the ‘big reveal’ from Lee Ryder was that there’s nothing to reveal, rather than just say there’s no news. I know they rely on clicks but fucking hell.

Although Charnley stressed that they made several bids that would have broken the club’s transfer record – the £16.5m paid to Real Madrid for Michael Owen in 2005 – they could not get any of those deals done for a variety of reasons.

I wonder if they still bothered with their still-technically-the-truth £16.1m bid for Messi, or just cut out the middle man and do what they do with everything else; lie.

The only time i use the chronicle website now is to see Rafa's press conference comments.

The rest of it is just embarrassing clickbait.

Sources have indicated that some of those players did not want to sign for the club, with the doubts about Benitez’s long term one of their concerns, but that is disputed by others involved in the process.

What a surprise.  :yao: Good for them!

Ahh, here it comes....

"Well, the club had up to £80m to spend on players, but because Rafa didn't sign his contract nobody wanted to sign for us. Now Sam is back at the club we can really push forward and spend the money the club has generated. With that said, please welcome Cameron Jerome to the club, the new record signing at £18.2m"

So we made about a £30 million profit summer 2016 also.

We literally haven't spent a penny of TV money for 2 full years? Daylight f***ing robbery

That is disgusting.

How people can still attend when you see things like that i will never know.

Rodgers with Sturridge club record fee of about £18m in January is my baseless prediction of what will happen.

Rodgers will have better ran clubs after him, he's also very unhappy with Celtic's board and their lack of ambition currently.

What can he be unhappy about.  There is nothing else Celtic can do except maybe have a half decent run in the Champs League or Europe.   They are limited by the shit league they play in, he would have known this before he took the job.
