Can't hold onto the ball for more than five seconds, how do you have a collection of professional footballers and none of them can complete a pass?

Perhaps because they are lacking in confidence.

5 loses in a row.

Rafa = Pardew levels of incompetence.

Not his fault fat mike refused to invest in the team over the summer

Agreed, but Rafa is making some shocking team selections in this run.

Team selections aside, the state of our first touch and awareness, movement is awful. What the fuck is going on in training, surely that lays solely at his feet.

This was happening all last season too even against awful Champ sides. Most of our players are just shite on the ball, I don't think there's a great deal we can do in training to sort that.

Rafa's media briefings probably do the players' confidence a world of good.  Constantly pointing out how shit they are and how unwanted they all are.

We are worryingly bad. Such a horrible feeling when you look at the 18 at realise that there's no one you really feel confident will give us something.

Not one of our players is dependable for a goal.

Which is why it's so important not to keep giving away soft goals. But we can barely see out one half before handing the shitey opposition a golden ticket game in game out. Rafa would be tearing his hair out if he had any.

Thought we had done ok and to concede again before HT is extremely worrying. We are just currently so inept going forwards - once again, Murphy looks our best offensive player. Perez is working hard - Joselu is toilet ..... again.

Can't defend, can't attack. It's hard to win matches then.

Do not blame Rafa or the players, this is Ashley and lack of investment. Championship players, CL manager, Premier league football.

Brighton seem to be doing alright mate.

So were we (relatively speaking) until this takeover shit. Been down hill ever since.

Fair point, as much as i hate to say it Rafa has to shoulder some blame for this run mind.

Yep with not a much better squad than we have, we are under performing badly and that includes the manager. You make all these changes but fail to change the one player everyone can see is clearly not up to it, deserves the stick he'll get if we lose yet again tonight.

Teams have obviously identified Yedlin as a weakness. That’s 4 goals in a row that have come from that side of the pitch.

Watford getting trounced this evening too.

This is relegation form. Can he turn it around?

It’s looking doubtful there will be investors before January.. so another window with no activity. What can he do with this lot?

Brighton don't give away easy goals every 45 mins.

Guarantee if we were to have come here and from the start open up and try and get at them they would have picked us off on the break and people would be crying at how naive we are.

I don't think anyone has said we should have went at them? Most seem in agreement that we need to go back to basics.

That's fucked now though because of some rancid defending.

Without doubt. No matter what losing 4 in a row is down to the manager to some degree. 5 in a row is inarguable imo.
