Newcastle United 1 - 1 Swansea City - 13/01/18 - Post-match reaction from pg16

You say you have bad luck with referee's.

Our last 3 games

Offside goal given against us

Second bookable offence ignored for opposition player

Player sent off (rescinded)

and today a def penalty and prob red card.

We definitely don't get a fair crack with ref's and no it doesn't even out over the season.

Don’t care.

Well we had some luck with that handball.  Probably a red card as well.

Have they not got rid of that double punishment rule?

That's only for challenging for the ball.

Deliberate handball or denying a goal scoring chance is still red, a genuine attempt as in not deliberate is a yellow.

Very fortunate then.

Feel like we've been here a few times before this season. Having by far the better of it first half and feeling like we'd rue missed chances, which is exactly what happened for a while (Bournemouth at home for example). But more recently, away to West Ham and Stoke, we've persisted after the break and done the business, so fingers crossed.

Three bad misses from us, Gayle x2 and Ayoze, but a probable pen for them.

If we keep creating the chances, one will go in sooner or later.

That free kick Shelvey blasted into level 7 from 18 yards out was a chance as well. Has flashbacks to Atsu's class free kick against Cardiff last season. He should have taken it, Fabianski left a massive space to his right

Dummett missed a very presentable chance as well.

Tbf.

We had 1-2 good chances vs Bournemouth, the other chances were excellent attempts by Atsu and Ritchie.  Today is just very poor finishing from the bits of the game I've seen.

Yeah they were mainly long range efforts against Bournemouth admittedly. Point still stands though that we haven't allowed things to fizzle out after half time recently so hopefully that continues.

That's literally the first contentious decision we've had go our way this season.

Second. Yedlin at Soton.

Ritchie should had been sent off vs Swansea away tbf for that high foot.
