Speak to any Burnley fan and they’ll say Trafford isn’t great with his feet.

Burnley fans I have spoken to said he is a great shot-stopper, good with his feet but poor command of his area and flaps at crosses / corners.

I’m totally over him going to ManU. He’s been here for seven years and that was a few years ago now. It wasn’t great but I understand him wanting to go to ManU. He’d lost his place after that great run - obviously going to hurt. He’s got the chance to play for what will be a massive club to him AND he was expecting more game time. We didn’t have to allow it.

I’ve only seen a very limited amount of him, and he certainly doesn’t appear to command his box particularly well - BUT - they’ve conceded 9 goals in 26 games in a very competitive league.

If it was as much of an issue as being made out, surely all the other teams would have targeted him in this respect and it would have led to more goals?

It was last season I heard that though, and that element of his game it likely to improve with experience.

It’s still and issue, not sure if teams have been poor at taking advantage but he isn’t good from crosses at all.

I haven’t seen enough of him to comment really, it just feels if he was that bad other teams would have been able to exploit it more than to the point of 9 goals in 26 games.

He's still learning but I see a lot of positives in his game and he will only get better.

Shot stopping, distribution, good hands good off both feet.

His coming for crosses can be worked on same as his sweeper keeping.

I haven't seen that much of Trafford, but if he is flappy as more than a few have pointed out, should we be targeting a keeper with a glaring weakness, we already have two of those vying for the no 1 spot

This lad is still young with the right coaching could be a quality keeper.

I’m sure he’ll get lots of support on here then. Pope punches one miles clear under pressure at a corner and it’s always CATCH IT FFS MAN.

Flapper Trafford

(sorry)

Dubravka deserves plenty of credit for the latest run, it's night and day compared with last season and has been a rebirth for him. But people are going way over the top attributing our improved form to his presence. If we melt as soon as Pope gets back in, without an injury to Tonali etc, we can re-discuss it.
