triggs
Is Ritchie the only player we've got who can take a pen? I'd bank on Shelvey & Kenedy from the spot like. Sure Shelvey took an awful one against Hull in the cup. Is Ritchie the only player we've got who can take a pen? I'd bank on Shelvey & Kenedy from the spot like. I'm sure Shelvey that had a shocker of a pen vs Hull last season. You're probably right, I can't quite remember the pens from that game. I was just thinking him & Kenedy have the technique. Shelvey is generally awful at actually shooting though

Infinitely Content
Shelvey is generally awful at actually shooting though Neh I don't think Shelvey is awful at shooting like. Besides he's rarely in the position to shoot for us anyway given his deep role so it's hardly fair to judge.
toontownman
Few observations: Diame was our bestest. Dwight Gayle not fit to wear the shirt. 45 mins of stoppage time? You're having a laugh. Even the commentator was lackadaisical and soft spoken. Where is the passion. What's become of this club. Another 3 points dropped. We doomed. Class goals for Swansea & a great goal against QPR last season. Someone awful at shooting does not score those goals.
Guest firetotheworks
I really hope Joselu's the one to score the goal that keeps us up, like. I know a lot of people don't agree, but I think it would be well-deserved after the stick he's had. The only ‘stick’ Joselu has had, is people rightly commenting on his terrible performances. Such a weird statement. Wrong. The criticism of performances is absolutely fair enough, he's not a very good player. The problem is with the abuse that's been levelled directly at him by fans when he's f***ed up, despite us as a group of supporters insisting that the only thing we ask for is a 'club/team that tries' - when as far as I can tell his effort's not in question - and Ashley being the entire reason we have a player of his known quality at all in the first place. ...and aye, it's proper weird to want one of our players to redeem themselves. Players like Sibierski, Perch, Shola, Jonas, Gouffran etc turning it around or partly turning it around never happened, they're all still universally hated. I'm not sure about that. A lot of his movments look lethargic and lacking energy. Sticks a lazy leg at quite a few challenges. I certainly wouldn't say he's a workhorse. If you genuinely think that he's not grafting and that's the crux of your criticism for him then I disagree with you, but that's fair enough.

It was the same with Diame before his up-turn in form. Can't believe I forgot to include Diame tbh.

Infinitely Content
Was that an alright watch, then? We started off quite well and were largely the better team throughout. Not much to get the pulses racing though. Good to see Fernandez play with the first team at the end.
