Guest Howaythetoon Posted June 24, 2018 Share Posted June 24, 2018 The money they have wasted on fees and wages on really poor to average players over the years is staggering and it can’t all be down to having to overpay to attract players to Wearside. Some seriously dodgy deals went on there which I’m sure will have benefitted one or two of their former managers and certain agents massively... Short got a lot of stick, but his mistakes were appointing the wrong people and allowing them to spend his money unwisely and at times outrageously which obviously came back to bite him hard as the players were either crap or didn’t care about the club becoming almost worthless and needing shot of even if it means giving them away for free. Cattermole, once a hero on Wearside because he put the odd tackle in and Captained them to a few wins against the Mags is now thought of a cancer and someone who has basically took the piss for years while probably pissed himself. As a fan base they need to stop putting so much faith and hope into chancers and people who really don’t justify such odd almost cult like following. They excuse everyone and create these weird and totally wrong delusions that they use to justify why a player doesn’t perform, or is always injured, never accepting the reality. Even now they don’t seem to have accepted the reality of their situation and see some blokes who could be anyone talking football at the pub as saviours because they come to the club despite having no money or experience or any sign of plan to get them out of trouble other than maybe replacing pink seats, how arrogant the Mags have always seemed to them and how they won’t be taking for a ride by players and agents. SAFC fans are being taken for a ride and it isn’t on a magic carpet, they are being conned by players, agents and their owners who are complete chancers who are as stupid as the fans are because they think they can rock up, slash the wage bill, recoup millions for players, appoint someone from Scotland and go up and then roll in the money. They are deluded and way out of their depth When they lie outside of the playoffs at Xmas and way off the pace with 10-15k crowds... That’s the reality! Teesside is a much nicer region than Wearside IMO too. Middlesbrough is slowly improving by the way thanks to the increasing student population and current investment. If we don’t get what is on the sheet for Ndong then we can fund the shortfall. In terms of the fit and proper persons test we were cautious on money generated in player sales but we were strong on the way we can bring costs down etc. I had to prove I had the funds to cover the running of the club even if there was no player sales and obviously I met that criteria. To be honest if we sat down in a room we probably could have done it in half a day, all of money has come from heavily regulated businesses. Regulated far tougher than any football club, it’s not like I’m a gunman from Peru! There are quite a lot of variables and we have a lot of work to do to fit our own business plan. Fucking hell. Only just caught up on this. I presume they are all up in arms about the Don outing himself as a proven liar and bonafide gobshite a few months in his tenure?
