Is it particularly a bad thing they used parachute payments though if they get promoted and come through it better?

We aren’t that bothered , however it’s hilarious that if they come up the can’t challenge barring a miracle.

They won’t invest much as they have no money, the fans will turn when the defeats rack up , make no mistake about it this squad is the worst in their history and play non league standard football.

It’s glorious

I can’t see how it’s possible that they’re not back into ‘debt’ as well and losing a pretty substantial amount each month given that Short wiped what he was owed but the parachute payments haven’t been able to be used to help with running costs.

They're surely running the club at unsustainable operating losses due to the wages of the likes of Cattermole, McGeady etc.

So, even if the parachute payments have been ringfenced to pay off debts, they'll be in further debts away from the money owing to Short?

It's like mentally putting aside a £10k windfall you're due from an inheritance next year to pay off your credit card debt but you're still paying £3000 per month to run your house when you earn £2000 per month.

We lost a lot of local support from area's who used to be SAFC strongholds when the 92'ers when to the dark side, the Magmedia are trying to erode our support again when in League terms we are at our lowest ebb.

The only people who erode their support is themselves.  There is no unstoppable MAG King who controls the media and people's free will.

They love mentioning STRONGHOLDS like it’s some kind of medieval siege.

It's the only forum where either your username or first post must state that you come in peace. They'll see you as a threat otherwise.

Arbitrary percentages pulled out of their arse usually aren’t far behind.

Never understood their mentality regarding this. Like it or not we share a region with them. There'll be more NUFC fans in Newcastle and more Sunderland fans in Sunderland. However people move around for a variety of reasons so you'll get NUFC fans living in and around Sunderland and vice versa. They take huge satisfaction that there's Sunderland fans living in and around Newcastle but great offence when it's the other way around. Just bizarre behaviour.

East Butsfield used to be 75.8% massive lads fans, 19.3% mags and 4.9% other in 1991.

This must be the biggest game in their history I should think (at least in financial terms).

If they don't go up, they can't be far off being fucked. Permanently.

Silly mag, don't you know it's better financially for them to not get promoted

It doesnt look good either way. Should they get promotion with their current owners, who've already been saying they'll start off 4mill down due to bonuses etc, they'll struggle to strengthen a squad worse than that that got relegated. Their only hope was the owners gameplan, get promoted and flip it for a profit, they dont care who to or if any new owners can afford to strengthen and the fans can only hope it's not a similar pair.

Just read that article, the replies on here and bits of RTG. What great Thursday evening reading this is mind.

They have gone Into ultra mackem rtg mode on there tonight after all this. Blaming the mags for all this seems to be the way forward. They're mental like.

Are they really doing a buy one get one free offer on the tickets for Sunday now?

I'd be amazed, there would be hell on with the people who have already purchased. They’re  not going to sell out by a few thousand though and Charlton will have more support than they do
