The two of them have played a blinder so far, we know how mackems are desperate to be liked and how easily they swallow anything if it's tinged with a bit of anti-Newcastle sentiment, but it's quite astonishing how easily most of them have been taken in by these two, especially Methven. There's a clutch of stooges on RTG who stoically defend everything about the pair, smitten by their charms, but even they will have to see the light eventually.
