Troll
https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/sunderland-fans-are-too-soft.1427931/ This thread is littered with comments like this because all the skunk protests achieved so much ? They constantly protest against Ashley (funnily enough, not at the moment) and he's still there. All their shit crack has changed not a thing. All the good stuff they've had recently is down to Ashley not their embarrassing funerals etc The thick cunts mustn't realise Ashley has overseen yet another successful season for them whilst their numerous demonstrations have mounted to absolutely fuck all. If they really think our protests didn't influence a single thing well you can probably file that second to the 'not wanting to look like a mag' in their ridiculous reasons why they don't do anything. They're jealous of Mike Ashley. They're actually jealous.
Disco
Person at work today saying that this relegation was bad for the north east in general since it’ll probably hurt he local economy with not as many fans coming to the region next season. Shame on Sunderland for being so fucking shit then Given a fair chunk of the away fans stop in town to make a weekend of it they’ll be delighted. Paying for tickets, attending matches and sticking with the club. Ashley has nothing to do with it. The club is doing well in spite of him. Short has more ambition than Ashley and actually put his own money in year after year trying to make them better than they actually were. Luckily for Ashley he bought a better club, there’s nothing else to it.

Shame on Sunderland for being so fucking shit then All those away fans coming to visit and or stay in Newcastle when their team are playing Sunderland. Their relegation will probably hurt the city of Newcastle by reducing away fan visits to Newcastle. I doubt League 1 fans travel in the same numbers as Premiership or Championship club fans. RTG will now look on their relegation as a positive. Typical spiteful Sunderland. Person at work today saying that this relegation was bad for the north east in general since it’ll probably hurt he local economy with not as many fans coming to the region next season. I've lived and worked outside the NE. Never once been in an office where the conversation's gone something like: WBCP: "Up to owt at the weekend then, Sharon? Sharon: "Yeah, since you ask. My husband, the kids and I are off to Sunderland. We looked on TripAdvisor and saw there's got a big swimming pool and a glass centre. It looks good to eat there, too. They've got a Greggs next door to another Greggs! We're so excited!" It's a shame the city of Sunderland don't spend as much trying to improve themselves as they do sniping at the city of Newcastle. A strong and vibrant North East would be good for all of us.

Luckily for Ashley he bought a better club, there’s nothing else to it. In a nutshell. All Short is guilty of is appointing inept people. Shows how we value our two respective clubs, Ashley would be a god there, he’s the devil here. Short would be better than Ashley, but not tolerated either. If Pardew gave them the kind of seasons he gave us, he’d be a legend there. Up until this season Cartermole was considered a legend. They have no standards really yet they like to consider themselves classy and above the likes of us because they don’t protest or kick off.
summerof69
Exactly. Tbh, our own fans were far too accepting of what happened never mind the mackems reaction or lack of to their shitness. It's interesting they bring up the funeral stuff, which was one tiny protest, the sackpardew and ashleyout protests were much better, and could have been more effective if larger swathes of the fanbase were willing to participate. LoveItIfWeBeatU
BBC Radio Newcastle's 'Total Sport' is going to be a must listen this week, especially Monday. Damn it, I forgot to listen. Selective memory that lot man. Calling people nonces despite openly worshipping one. The gravy joke despite having the country's fattest school kids and highest hospital admittance rates for obesity. It's like the scruffy little town has been brainwashed. Watch this 3rd division season and two in a row be removed from their history

FinnMag
Sunderland could be lower league team for good. Where they get new owner with deep pockets? Who wants to own league 1/2 team with massive debts? No one.

They’ll be down there for a few seasons imo. Aye. I think unless someone comes in to buy the club this summer, they will spend a few years down there ruling out anyone of note buying them. They’ll end up being bought by O’Briens or someone who won’t have the money to invest to get them back into the big time so it will be more years in the wilderness. They’ll become a family friendly club, owned by locals, full of younger payers, hard working players. But when they lose to a Halifax in a play off semi the fans will turn against the local owners forcing them to put them into administration having used all their family business money to stem the tide. On RTG there will be threads about getting Ellis back or Quinny who by that time will be in a care home. They’ll be harping on about Bally as manager with sewper Kev as number 2. There will also be threads talking about how AJ even at 40 + could still do a job after tearing it up in Cambodia. Meanwhile Rafa will be looking to add more silverware to his CV as Toons manger. I really struggle to see who’ll buy them apart from someone with an attachement to them. If you had the money you could buy one of a whole host of other clubs in a much better position. How much would Forest, one of the Sheffield’s, Leeds, Ipswich, Norwich and the likes cost? Can’t be far off the debt Sunderland already have. That and losing £20m a year, you’d be made to go anywhere near. Wait till administration, see debts wiped and big earners gone or one year closer to gone, then pick it up for peanuts. Not even asset strippers will be interested, they’ve none to strip.

Guest Howaythetoon
I won’t laugh at that, those are young players aspiring to be first-teamers and usually academy/reserve staff are paid pennies compared to the rest and are trying their best to nurture and develop talent.
