Just love the first two touches and finish so much Favourite Match: Spain 3-3 Portugal Favourite Player: Probably Perisic despite him helping to knock out England. Knew we had the two semis and the final, but thought that was it. We'll also have 2 games at Wembley and one at Hampden, plus a round of 16 in Dublin should we win our group. Both teams made it so entertaining to watch with the way they played Favourite Player? Kylian Mbappe. That kid is gonna be a real stand-out over the next 5 years. Favourite Moment? England beating Colombia on penalties, and then seeing the Dixon/Wright/Neville celebrations in the studio My nerves were absolutely shot after that but what a feeling man. I don't think I've experienced anything quite like that in football since I was a kid watching Euro '96. Maybe Bellamy against Feyenoord but it's totally different circumstances. I thought the Senegal fans were great to watch by the way. Even though you could only see a really small portion of them bunched in there, they made constant noise, never ran out of energy and brought a great carnival atmosphere to the world cup. (Spain, Argentina, Germany, Brazil.. etc.) 3: Cheering on all the underdogs at evey opportunity. Favourite Goal: Mandzukic making Lloris look a tit. Favourite Match: Belgium 3-2 Japan. Favourite Moment: See Favourite Goal. edit Haven't done a complete check but I think Croatia scored more goals (16?) than any other team at this world cup, not counting penalty shoot-outs. (But I'm pretty pissed so possibly wrong). 2nd edit Looks like Belgium might have got 16 as well. (Can some dedicated statistician who is sober check the figures?)
