STM Posted Sunday at 18:43 Share Posted Sunday at 18:43 Again, I absolutely don't want to slag the lad but he needs nudged out the door and by nudged I mean kicked.
joeyt Posted Sunday at 18:46 Share Posted Sunday at 18:46 Takes 5 more touches than the rest of our midfield to release the ball. Any game where we need some good technical ability is a real struggle for him sadly

M1tche Posted Sunday at 18:53 Share Posted Sunday at 18:53 He has his uses, but surely today is when Miley steps infront of him in the pecking order. As 6th choice CM, he's not the worst option to have. Not many clubs in the league will have a better option that far down the pecking order.

Scoot Posted Sunday at 19:04 Share Posted Sunday at 19:04 He should be 6th choice behind Miley and Willock. I'd rather cash in on him and spend the money on some young up and coming player who's not shit scared of the ball.
Menace Posted Sunday at 19:06 Share Posted Sunday at 19:06 It'll be similar to Wood, will look far better to a team that plays to his strengths.

Fact is he’s a terrible player. If he has mental issues going on then I obviously I hope he can get the help he needs and bounce back. But he’s incredibly luckily to be playing for NUFC at all and I don’t think we should feel guilty about criticising him.

We've seen him play well over periods, we've even seen our form drop when he was injured. He may not be what we need for where we are going but the grief he's getting (and yes he was poor today) is childish.
Wolfcastle Posted Sunday at 19:16 Share Posted Sunday at 19:16 (edited) Very disappointing today. Arguably presence aside anybody could have turned that showing in. Seems so sluggish, not even just pace-wise, not thinking sharply even for on an off day. Edited Sunday at 19:17 by Wolfcastle

It's just always, always fickle and clownishly over the top to the point that I don't think it should be taken seriously.

Had a poor game which didn’t help, albeit better second half, but didn’t seem to have much zip or strength about him. Maybe he was just cold
Lush Vlad Posted Sunday at 19:51 Share Posted Sunday at 19:51 He would be decent enough in a team that surrenders possession and wants to sit in. Like a 30-40% a game sort of team. He’s always been quality off the ball with his defensive work. I can see why Everton were linked when Dyche was there. For where we want to be. I don’t even want him here as 5th choice or whatever he is now. His limitations were massively exposed against a League Two side. He doesn’t really fir anywhere in our 3 since the change and Tonali going deeper.

Displayname Posted Sunday at 19:52 Share Posted Sunday at 19:52 If he needs to play often to get in to the rhytm then i dont think his future is here, homegrown or not. Probably worth more to a team where he can play every week.
