He should be 6th choice behind Miley and Willock. I'd rather cash in on him and spend the money on some young up and coming player who's not shit scared of the ball.

(N-O, not him )

I personally don’t like blaming the fans. Fact is he’s a terrible player.

If he has mental issues going on then I obviously I hope he can get the help he needs and bounce back. But he’s incredibly luckily to be playing for NUFC at all and I don’t think we should feel guilty about criticising him.

He's not like. We've seen him play well over periods, we've even seen our form drop when he was injured. He may not be what we need for where we are going but the grief he's getting (and yes he was poor today) is childish.

Very disappointing today. Arguably presence aside anybody could have turned that showing in. Seems so sluggish, not even just pace-wise, not thinking sharply even for on an off day.

It's just always, always fickle and clownishly over the top to the point that I don't think it should be taken seriously.

Just looked like he didn’t want to be there

Really? If anything I think he dreads the thought of not being here. Just not his sort of game where he's not going to get space, then his close control comes under more pressure.

Yeh just thought he looked a bit down on himself and not really up for it. Had a poor game which didn’t help, albeit better second half, but didn’t seem to have much zip or strength about him. Maybe he was just cold

He would be decent enough in a team that surrenders possession and wants to sit in. Like a 30-40% a game sort of team. He’s always been quality off the ball with his defensive work.

I can see why Everton were linked when Dyche was there.

For where we want to be. I don’t even want him here as 5th choice or whatever he is now. His limitations were massively exposed against a League Two side. He doesn’t really fir anywhere in our 3 since the change and Tonali going deeper.

Personally the grief I give him is just an assessment of what I see when I watch him play. Which is awful. I don’t see what’s childish about it.

A terrible player ? He was a mainstay and healthy part of our team that finished 4th,  when he was out we missed him.

The childish bit is calling a premier league standard player (which he's proved) shit, terrible etc. Shit performance, terrible on the day fair enough, but in general its fucking childish.

I disagree with that premise but it’s pointless debating it again.

Hopefully Everton or somebody shit offer us 15m for him this month. Christ he was brutal today.

I hear a lot about how such and such will pay 10/15 million, but I just fail to see how anyone in the footballing world can watch him and think “he’d be a good signing”.

He has a skill set which could be seen as desirable by many teams.

He covers a lit of ground and can break up play well.

We just have Tonali and Miley who can do the same and also pass progressively and look comfortable on the ball.

I hope a Everton, West Ham or Leeds pay 10 million plus for him to allow us to buy genuine quality

I really hope so too, I just don’t see it.

I would never give him stick at the match btw, where it actually matters. You could hear loud groans today at times, and last week at Spurs he played a pass across their box and it was short pace, he got dogs abuse.

But on platforms such as this it’s fair enough, imo.

A proper ‘rabbit-in-headlights’ performance which the lad unfortunately has in him.  He was terrible - but I still think he’s a PL-standard player.  I suspect we’ve completely outgrown him, though, and in the summer he’ll be off to a bottom-half team to do a decent job.

Aye.

He's a squad player for us like. Will do a grand job of closing teams out but that's it.

Love his effort, his desire, his local pride, everything. Love his fragility to some degree, reminds me that he's just a local and living the dream. Will always back him for that. Just won't take us to the next level. Really hope he's happy being a squad man for us tbh, that kinda desire to play for us is infectious to some degree.

Local lad done good so respectful but not at trophy level and thats where the Saudi people see us heading...love you Sean but...be a magnificent captain of a team at the right level....that is one level above Sunderland ie Boro

No need or point in having a dig about him tonight, that performance today told us absolutely nothing we didn't already know about what he offers. A move away is best for all concened tbh
