Central defenders rarely get more whacks to the head than the Three Stooges

That's an injury. Not a rest.

I don't think Schar should play at the weekend because he has a head injury and has had several head injuries recently. He needs proper time to recover.

If Dan Burn is fit and has no issues with cramp - he should start and play. He doesn't need to "rest".

Not sure missing our best defender is good mind, massive pressure on Thiaw now unless Sven gets the nod.

It’s good for him. As a human being.

Aa he said the Schar head bash is a running joke. But it’s no longer funny.  He’s had 2 or 3 head injuries this year from memory. And been back much sooner than the protocols suggest.

I don’t think it’s intentional in this case. But Eddie does like to push his players. I think in the past he’s purposely not done concussion subs because he wants a chance to reassess the player later. I think other teams/managers Schar would have had a previous concussion sub which would have prevented him playing games in the past. This time we’ve done the cautious thing.

Every player needs a rest to suggest otherwise is absurd

Ruled out for 12 days.

Blessing in disguise sorta. Don't get me wrong I like Fabi and I hope all these head injuries aren't fucking him up long term, plus he's a good player and brilliant servant to the club. For 3m he's repaid his value 10x over easily.

That said, Thiaw will now get his chance and one he wouldn't have otherwise. He is the future (or at least expected to be) at RCB for us, and I hope he knocks it out the park.
