Amir_9
Rafa's fault for this one. Starting Manquillo, changing from 3 at the back and bringing Atsu on for Ritchie. We didn't stand a chance with shit decisions like that. Fuming. Oko dokko He's right though. Certainly doesn't mean we wouldn't have lost but Manquillo and Atsu really should not be anywhere near the pitch
Mike
Super Duper Branko Strupar[/member] You've left most of the OP blank, ffs. Shambles. I'm not doing booking and subs, like. Not seen attendance yet. Still says HT, ffs.

Guest neesy111
I'd say the main reason we had won our previous 2 games was because of rafa (Watford win was down to luck). We do not have a good team, so it's no surprise that a team like West Ham could beat us like that.

Bimpy474
What in living fuck was that pass by Manquillo, honestly we really do have some thick as fuck useless pieces of shite in our squad. http://www.scotzine.com/wp-content/uploads/Mike-Ashley-1.jpg Letting Mbabu go was down to Rafa, but aye if Rafa had proper backing we wouldn't be replacing him with a pile shite like Manquillo. People saying no chance of relegation but unless Ashley gets his cash out in January it will be touch and go. West Ham was like the Watford game but this time they took most of their chances. The lack of creativity and goals in that team is very worrying.

I understand our squad are a limited average bunch but at what point have the likes of Atsu or Manquillo ever done anything remotely positive anytime as of late? This is not their sole responsibility but they arguably offer very little compared to other options at Rafa's disposal.
sbnufc
Rafa: "I think it was a reminder of how tough things can be. If you don’t take your chances and another team has quality that is what happens. We were a bit open. With the counter attacking and pace, they can cause us problems. It was very difficult for us after the second goal. We were quite good in the first half but with their quality they counter attacked us well. The protest had no effect on the players. We were good enough in the first half. The main thing was the quality of the offensive players of West Ham."

They murdered us in the one v ones we needed the extra cover we had in the Burnley game.

Numbers
Mike Ashley ladies and gents, we played against a team we should be able to at least match for player spending today but nah. The West Hams subs bench cost more money than our entire starting team today. Let that sink in.

There were some pretty awful performances (Kenedy being one of the worst) but have to say West Ham got the tactics just right. Leaving three men forward on the break expecting our attacks to break down worked perfectly and when they scored the game was for them to lose. Has been a while since Rafa got done tactically and today was one of those days.

Ikon
Should've kept the formation the same. Very, very poor today. Hindsight is a great thing. Having said that we still probably would have lost. At least that's my guess.
HaydnNUFC
Should've kept the formation the same. Why? West Ham opened us up with their front 3 time and time again, should've kept the 3 at back to try and stifle them, hit them on the break. Instead it was the other way around. joeyt
I think you make a bit of a rod for your own back when you change a winning team especially after such a good performance. That said Rafa changed it for Burnley and won
Big Geordie
Really poor today, but that's what happens when you don't have enough quality. Another example of how much Mike Ashley has fucked this club over.
ToonArmy1892
It is always going to be 4-2-3-1 for the most part, that is Rafa's formation. Carragher said he played the 3-4-3 about 4 times at Liverpool.
Bimpy474
Reckon we'll be back to the 5-3-2/5-4-1/9-1 at Everton.
