Yeah, same. I've always been very protective of him re: people assuming things like this are all his fault for that reason, but you can't deny it looks dodgy.

But he must have cycled through loads of past it players and considered long term finances a ton as he took Bournemouth up the ranks.

Aye. Only been ruthless really with Chris Wood thus far.

It makes absolute sense to always feign losing players against your will when there's interest around them like, I'd just let them to get a move on with this one and (if the money's right and will be reinvested) Kelly

I’m not sure Howe has tried to hang onto players for too long in the past 2 windows, the main issue IMO is nobody wanted the players they tried to move on at the wages the players wanted.

The club will be better sellers in 2 years as the squad is containing more and more players who are young and talented, vs old and declining

Lost count of the amount of times my brain has skipped passed the 'to be' in the thread title. A short rush of excitement only to be met with inevitable let down. Like watching Miggy!
(Sorry Miggy :().

It’s possible that he might not want Almiron to leave because a lengthy Murphy injury with no Almiron leaves us with no real RW for 4 months. Put simply, he’s better than nothing and that goes for a few squad players who should also be on the chopping block.

I’m sure Howe would be happy for Almiron and others to leave if he was confident they’d be upgraded but there’s no guarantee there since the £50+million we had to spend in the summer has disappeared.

Even playing Almiron leaves us with no real RW though, that’s how ineffective he is for us now. It would be mad to turn down any decent bid imo.
