Mazzy
Barely got on the ball yesterday but that's alot to do with the fact that by the time he came on all out players were absolutely shot. No one was really trying to venture further than halfway and so he was just left to defend the wings. I agree he probably won't be here next season and I'll not be that bothered tbh. Doesn't seem to fit in with our team anymore, don't think he's technically good enough on the ball.
Consortium of one
I rooted real hard for Miggy but a few things are obvious, he's too one footed and, at this point, his confidence is shot. For his own sake I think he should be moved on in the summer.
Lenny
Given the number of players we have that have shown such significant improvement since Howe's come in, I'm very surprised to see Almiron hasn't done similar. You would have thought that Howe might've identified him as a player to depend on when walking through the door, given his work rate, but it's not worked out that way. Quite sad to see a notably smiley character seemingly crushed beyond repair at the hands of Bruce.

You'd think he and a few others will get a chance over the next 3 games or so.
Lenny
Fair comment, however he's not really shown any particular response to Howe coming in terms of on-pitch output. Given that every player has had equal chance to cement a place in the team, I'd have thought he'd be one of the first to do so, but it's not happened. Dinho lad
Not bothered, well do better than him in the summer. Good luck to him.

If we had Howe in charge under Ashley I'd be itching to see an improvement in Almiron. As it is, I wouldn't be chewed one bit if he doesn't make the cut. As much as I like him and as much as he tries, I think we'll make an upgrade in the summer.
Lenny
Same, I've always had a soft spot for him; he was the supplemental breath of optimism to Rafa, during a time where there was no real reason for any. But it's now probably in both the clubs and his interests to part.

Smal
I like him too but he can only play as a 10 so doesn’t fit anywhere in the current system. Probably time for him to move on in the summer.
Thiago
I'm surprised Murphy got the nod over him tbh. I think he scores that one on one and he squares it to Fraser.
Guest neesy111
I'd be selling him in the summer.
duo
I still think there is a player in there - just look a Fraser as to what can happen if you get a run of games and you get your confidence back.
Alan Pardew
Always rooted for him but it's just not working out. Was poor the few minutes he was on today as well. Loses the ball so easily.
gbandit
Didn’t think he was poor at all, did what was asked of him, he’s never going to be able to convince anyone of anything when he only gets five-ten mins anyway

gbandit
Hope this lad has a decent game today, whether he stays with us beyond this season or not, he’s a good lad

He'll run from the first minute to the last.

Now is his time to shine.
Hanshithispantz
Howe's biggest ask is probably just that players understand and follow his instructions and Miggy has possibly just been a bit behind on that.
Newcastle Fan
The Thread above this is about Elliot Anderson and i really hope that next year we get to see him play instead of this waste of space, hopefully we can make some money back when we sell him. Guest
The last few games he's just ran after the ball. I don't know if it's a lack of tactical awareness or an over eagerness to impress, but man.
Big River
he’s just not a very good footballer. lacks technique and intelligence. think that volley against Chelsea was the only time he’s struck a ball cleanly! nice fella, I’m sure. but another one that’s not good enough and will get peddled in the Summer hopefully. interested to see where he ends up. He's been used as a late sub (exl Chelsea) to help us defend leads mostly. Edited March 16, 2022 by Aiston
Guest
He's just running and leaving gaps, and you can tell it distracts teammates who can't decide if they should be covering his position or not.
