GWN
I said earlier this season for us to push for top 7 we need Miggy and Joelinton to start chipping in with goals , we are half getting it . This is in no way a pop at the pair of them , far from it , however it will make such a difference if they do .
dave s
really hope this is the start of a confidence run for him. such a likeable kid and always gives you everything he’s got. another joelinton type turnaround would be amazing

Don't think enough is being said about the fact he's doing so well in a brand new position as well. Must be a midfielders dream to play with like, always looking to run in behind. It's not even a new position. He's had a lot of games on the right wing throughout his career including with us. I think Howe and his team has done a tremendously good job at implementing their system within the team so Almiron knows when and where to make runs, and his team mates knows when and where to pass the ball. Some of the runs he makes now doesn't seem natural to how I am used to seeing him play. Now you see him passing the ball and then immediately curl his neck and run into space behind defenders. I can't remember him doing that before.
Nobody
Looks so much better with Bruno in the team.

Yeah, Bruno is always looking to set him free, whether it's a first time ball to catch people out or something long to chase - makes a massive difference for Miggy as Bruno can actually pull it off. Guest
He links great with Trippier as well. Said pre-season I reckon he'd get 8 League goals just through the players around him.
Guest
If Almiron was the player we wished he was he'd have been at Barcelona or Bayern Munich the past 5 years scoring 20 a season, not here.

Consortium of one
Miggy playing with the freedom of confidence. He and Bruno have had a nice dynamic working all season. It may start paying off nicely.
Deuce
Can’t knock him too much after this performance, but his steadfast refusal to use his right foot will eventually put me in the grave.
Nine
Love seeing him score, can’t take to much from the Fulham game though imo as they were amazingly shit after the red card. Would have been a nice little confidence booster for him anyway, and hes always come across as a bit of a confidence player.
Chris_R
Now has the same number of PL goals as Jack Grealish over this season and last combined. As others have said, I would love to see him improve his right foot a bit and use it for more than just standing on though. It's a learnable skill. Colos Short and Curlies
Put ASM on the other wing (or Isak) and we have 2 wide men that teams can't afford to double/tripple up on as we can just switch the play. Miggy may never be the most prolific but the way the team works with him puts a threat down that wing

If he hasn’t got a decent right foot at age 28, there's not much of a chance he’ll improve it enough now. At least not for it to be sufficiently useful at the elite level, unfortunately. And he has some really good attributes. I would like his replacement on the right to be left footed, pacy, high work-rate and good movement like Almiron has... but you know.... more quality. That's not easy to find.

The comparison is still misplaced given that Almiron has played 2.5x as many minutes this season. Grealish is quite clearly a better player.

ponsaelius
There is obviously no doubt Grealish is a better footballer. But his comments last season were that of a shithouse with no respect for a fellow professional. Particularly as he had contributed so little to their title win. I would take wry joy out of Almiron outperforming him this season (which he has done so far).
gbandit
If Grealish doesn't turn things around quickly his transfer to Man City will be regarded as one of the biggest PL flops of all time considering his fee. That's his legacy right now so he needs to be focusing on himself
Kid Icarus
No one likes smurfing, especially from someone on a team that contributed more or less nothing to their success and towards a well-liked player.
Guest
His goal v City and the second one v Fulham are what give me confidence he'll get goals now in this setup. Can't expect goals like Palace and his first v Fulham all the time but it's reasonable to expect a tap-in at the far post every 4 games to get about 8 goals a season the way we play.
