The finishing from Bayern tonight was unreal.

Aye, Spurs will rightly get pelted for conceding 7 at home, but this was the best I've seen Bayern look for a good while. They'd have torn most teams apart playing like that.

Spurs are in a funny place really, not a brilliant squad but with flashes of brilliance when they’re on it. And they didn’t attempt to buy their way to the next level.

No shame in that like, they’re still good.

We beat them....

Couldn't see Spurs going for Rafa at all tbh

They would go for Rodgers I’d guess if they needed to.

He's got it good at Leicester. Would be mad to go.

Had it better at Celtic but still left instead of completing the treble treble.

He'd peaked at Celtic, what else could he achieve there? The ceiling at Leicester is a lot higher than Celtic's and apart from the nice stadium, probably aren't a million miles off Spurs now.

Pulis gets mocked for this one, even though he was a 20 year old kid with little experience at the time. It was Wenger that should get criticised, he was the one who sold him for a pittance.

Pretty sure Wenger gave him a decent run but got peters for Arsenal fans for persisting with him.

Yeah that's bollocks. Wenger gave him decent game time in a far stronger team than West Brom. The loan was the chance for him to get first team football and Pulis played him once before giving up - essentially wasting a whole year of his career.

After that Wenger begrudgingly sold him because his contract had a year to run and he couldn't guarentee him games week in week out. Gnabry himself pushed for the move away.

Gnabry played 9 games 2 seasons before he went out on loan, didn't appear once the season before he went to WBA.

Also, if you've got a flair player like that, why the fuck would you agree to send him to play for Tony Pulis in what was probably his most important season of development?

Guess 30+ games for Tony Pulis in the Champo is better for development than a handful of appearances in the PL. Obviously it didn't work out that way but the assumption is generally that your player on loan is going to get significant minutes.
