Oliver Kay of the times:

"For all the groans that have greeted news of the approach for Bruce, Newcastle’s supporters should perhaps be thankful for the small mercy of an experienced manager willing to entertain the idea of trying to clear up the mess."

Prontonising bollocks.

Clear up what mess? Fuck's he on about.

I'm proud of our club for pushing the boat out, pulling out all the stops, opening the envelope and securing the services of the 8th person on the list.

Joe Kinnear, Steve McLaren, John Carver, Alan Pardew and now Bruce.

A pound shop football club.

Add in alladyce (who I have always disliked, even before he took over at Bolton) and souness and it's a proper Hall of Embarrassment for our club. The Mike Ashley wing alone would take up a lot of the exhibit, I grant you.

Even Hughton was more luck than judgement. Him and Calderwood were pretty much reduced to putting out the cones when Shearer & Dowie came in. All of a sudden they were in charge.

and the manager boasted about his inability to send an email. While Bruce – who did finally learn how to log on last summer when the club issued him with an iPad – may well argue this lack of computer literacy was hardly relevant, many of his peers spend countless hours checking out the latest sports science innovations, researching transfer targets and analysing Prozone statistics on their increasingly indispensable laptops.

Still yet to agree compensation.

Why on earth would they agree to lower it?

MA clearly doesn't want Bruce enough to cough up that kind of money either.

Imagine paying £6 million just to acquire the services of Steve Bruce

That was what they were paying Rafa for a full year's work for goodness sake!

Cant stop laughing at that.

Was it mentioned by a journalist in an article that Moyes had a whiteboard with loads of potential signings listed on it, with lines pointing everywhere indicating where they may end up ??

Clearly hasn't heard of a computer.

He's found his yes man, but is now haggling with an average Championship side on the compensation package. Wouldn't want to get burned and have to pay too much for a shit manager would you.
