Was all that Joelinton has signed a new contract stuff that came out on Twitter a few weeks ago basically a load of bollocks then ?

Yep.

He wants the same money as Bruno, and the club will not pay him... they say.

He’s not worth the same money as Bruno TBF

He's worth the money Bruno is on right now, Bruno is still underpaid though.

Not for me, he also won’t get a move to a better club than us. He hasn’t got the technical ability to play for anyone better imo.

In general employees do not get pay increases unless the company is making money and NUFC like most clubs loses money. There is a savage readjustment of players wages due before too long and it won't be upwards.

His argument will be he's a Brazilian international and we don't have the money needed to replace him

He needs to remember, if it wasn't for Steve Bruce he would never have been at the club and without the benefit of Bruces training probably wouldnt be anywhere near the Brazil Squad.

Ungrateful.

He won’t know if we have the money, and we will get some by selling him. There is no way he should be up there with our top earners (Bruno or Isak) imo.

They’re worth what they can get in the market.  Joelinton is on a centre forward’s wage, remember.  And as good as he’s been since changing role, I’d be amazed if he could command what Bruno is on at another club.

I’d be happy to see him stay, but not at any cost.

He'll know that we will have priorities elsewhere on the pitch so wont be able to drop £50m+ on his replacement and the season has shown that Longstaff, Miley, Anderson are nowhere near

Willock can play the LCM and we don't have to play a middle 3 anyway.

With FFP, the clubs will have no choice tbh

Is he injured or is the club not playing him cos he’s playing hardball with his contract? ? Haven’t seen any photos or footage of him recovering.

He’s still contracted to play either way. If fit he plays!

Yep. He's capable of some fabulous touch play at times, but it's inconsistent. His real quality is he'll run all day and batter the opposition physically for most of it.

He's maybe worth the best of the rest wage that Isak and Trippier are on, he's never getting more than that anywhere else unless he goes to Saudi.

Only Isak and Bruno are a level above him in our squad , we shouldn't be letting our best players leave due to a contract dispute if we want to progress . We would need to spend Tonali type of money to replace him and is no guarantee whoever we bought would be any better . It's not as if he's asking for anything outrageous like 150k a week , just pay him what he's asking for .
