Kanj
He simply does not get enough of the ball in dangerous attacking positions because we don't really create many chances. We also play hoof it up to him when that is clearly not his style. He does win a decent number of headers and did fairly well considering he was up against Harry McGuire. One question mark over him is his desire to get into goal scoring positions. Not sure if that is coming from him, or how we are set up at the moment, but he needs to be getting on the end of crosses if he expects to score goals. Kanj
I actually think he'd be quite impressive as a wide forward with his strength and pace - ie: wide left with a Rondon type as a CF target man. -___-

Rod
He has a number 9 on his back, I'll give you that. He has no idea what hold up play is, does not run the channels enough or clever enough to run them and his movement in the opposition box is non existent hence he will never be a natural goalscorer. Just my opinion like ( oh, and Rafa's).

Correct, he said he was a good player with potential but only rated him as £20m which prompted Ashley to claim he offered the difference out of his own pocket

Just my opinion like ( oh, and Rafa's). Agree with this, certainly not good enough to lead the line by himself anyway. His hold up play is poor, he's not going to consistently win long balls in the air but alternatively he's not sitting on the shoulder of the last defender either waiting for a ball clipped over the top or to press/pounce on errors when they have the ball. The tactics and lack of service clearly aren't helping him either and you've got to wonder what actual instructions he is being given by the coaching staff as he looks lost at times like he's not sure what position to take up. Gallowgate End
The lack of coaching/instructions isn’t helping all we’re doing is living off the structure of last seasons formation shape. Steve Bruce hasn’t brought anything coaching wise to the table.

ToonArmy1892
I think his hold up/link up play is good, he is clearly a ball to feet striker but of course he is just getting it booted to him from all angles under this clown of a manager.
David Edgar
I see nothing in this guy to suggest he will ever be a £40m player.
Lenny
Not saying he's a bad player, but this is a staggeringly bad signing for many reasons.

TBG
What does he bring to the team? £13 every time you buy a replica shirt from the club shop with his name on.

Collage
Looks like another bad use of transfers from our side. We've replaced Rondon (who was perfect in that role) with a player who really doesn't look like he should play as a lone striker. He's strong but much more mobile than Rondon and looks more suited to be playing out wide or as one of two strikers. This is how he was used at Hoffenheim, if I'm not mistaken. The only player we have who really looks suited for that lone striker role is Carroll but of course he's not good enough. So not really possible to push Joelinton out wide. Menace
A player who's playing for a team that had 0 shots on target today. There's a player there, but I don't see it happening for him with Bruce.
TRon
He looked ok first couple of games but looks like a Sunday league one currently. What does he bring to the team? Not really sure what any striker could bring to this team without spending serious money. Young strikers who can bang in 15-20 goals a season will cost a hell of a lot of money, and that's what we need, not a target man who is good with his feet and is mainly a secondary forward. The alternative of course is to spend £16m on a 30 year old who can do the job and grab 10 goals a season as well.
