I really want to be annoyed by this but they're basically complimenting him as the leagues biggest shithouse

Kudus has been very dangerous taking players on down the right this season. Think so far he has the best take on numbers in the Prem. He came on early enough to cause problems and possibly turn the game.

Joelinton came on shortly after Kudus did to nullify him going up against Burn, which would have not been a good matchup.

Joelinton clattered him early on to stop them breaking and got in his head straight away. He then doubled up every single time Kudus got the ball on that right side and forced him to give the ball up to a team mate.

Job done perfectly.

Love Joelinton, but think he should be a bigger aeiral threat. Was watching some random extended highlight vids from some games we won during the last 1-2 seasons and he had some pretty bad misses from 5ish meters. Not sure if his heading is bad or if he's always being wrestled when heading the ball

My Liverpool supporting mate (yeah, I know) absolutely hates him but at the same time wishes that they had him. He's a monster, a wrecking ball of a player, but he's our wrecking ball. He keeps opposition players on their toes and forces them into mistakes when he comes barrelling towards (through) them.

He's master of the tactical foul. He's also a cracking protector of the the other players , can't remember which team it was but in one of Miley's early appearances the opposition player was clearly trying to intimidate him Joe stormed over and was straight into the fella, pushing him away, finger in face full radge mode. I'm also starting to see him get the dirty/high profile player allowance that was given to Keane and Vinnie Jones, where they get a free dodgy foul and the ref gives a "now now, calm yourself down" speech. Whereas a player not known as dirty gets the booking straight away.

Welk they’ve got Van Dijk going around clouting people in the head any way he can. He should’ve got half a dozen red cards last season.

He’s definitely ramping up the aggression these days, I think because he’s not been as effective for us so is frustrated. He will get a red card soon I think. Happy for him to carry on his WWE audition though as it’s largely funny as fuck, provided it doesn’t fuck us over

Some of those in the clip are pretty bad like

But for years they had a soft side that let other teams rattle them. My only complaints about Joelintons behaviour are when he loses his head and it’s no longer controlled. Am hardly going to take grief from Arsenal, spurs, Everton etc etc given some of the brutes they’ve employed over the years.

Thought his tackle vs Kudus was clumsy more than anything, he kind of ran into him and put his leg round to make the tackle and ended up riding him like a pony. Don't think it was at all dangerous which might be why there was no booking, though he probably couldn't have compained about a booking (nor a second for the handbags).

Radge Joelinton is best Joelinton though. I think he needs that degree of aggression to really impose himself. And if you're gonna go a bit radge to boost your reputation why not do it at 2-0 up with a few minutes to go?

It's interesting hearing some of the old Man U players from the Fergie era talk about how having those aggressive guys like Keane, Cantona etc. really helped the team. Remember Arsenal post-Viera constantly being accused of lacking that edge as well.

correct. i've no idea wy people are underestimating what he brings to the team. he does exactly what Viera, Keane used to do. they rattle players and disrupts the momentum and gives players like tonali and bruno G to roam forward at will.
