Gallowgate Toon
His decision-making last night was so much better. If he can consistently add that to his game then he's going to be a real star and not just a very talented maverick. I do think it made a difference that he received the ball in much better areas, as there's now a genuine structure to the team. That's something that should improve as Howe moves towards his preferred style and new players bed in.
Yorkie
https://amp.theguardian.com/football/blog/2022/feb/08/allan-saint-maximin-newcastle-everton-premier-league Great write-up from the otherwise permanently miserable Barney Ronay.

Genuinely think he loves it here and will stay for the bulk of his career thanks to the takeover. If we stay up that is. Phenomenal natural ability and talent. Love him to bits. Yeah I think if he leaves from this point, it will be our decision not his. He seems to love his role here, he's a star on one of the biggest stages. He's always going to be a bit selfish, that's part of what makes him what he is, but when you think he's still quite young, not hard to imagine him getting even better with good direction from the coaches, and better team mates coming in year on year. Wallsendmag
He'd be mad to even consider leaving us considering what is about to happen here. You wouldn't get an atmosphere anywhere else in Europe to perform in and he's already playing in the best league in the world. No chance he gives that up to go and play in the French League at PSG. KaKa
Will always frustrate and delight in equal measure, and yesterday was no exception. When we get a result the good plays will be at the forefront of everyone's mind and we'll be happy with him. When the result goes against us the bad plays will be at the forefront of everyone's mind and we'll be annoyed with him.

But if he can iron out some of those bad plays, what a player he could be. He's still only 24, the guy could be unstoppable if he takes on board some of what the coaches will be telling him. AJ9
Can’t we just enjoy having a great player without endlessly comparing or denigrating previous players?

andyc35i
With better players around him and continued hard work to improve, he can be world class. There’s very few players in world football that can do what this guy does with the ball at speed and we should be building the team around his talent Edited February 9, 2022 by andyc35i

NE27
Areet lads calm down, just be happy you were alive at the same time Ben arfa and ASM were Newcastle players
xLiaaamx
This is pointless. If you just take end output then out of Ginola, Robert, HBA and ASM you'd conclude Robert was by far the best, my guts telling me he was the least talented out of those 4 however.
