Need some real top class competition for Wilson next season

ideally someone like Jordan ayew or that  lad at Millwall ? Who used to be at Bournemouth ? Benik Afobe

could get both cheap and they would guarantee us twenty five goals each (at least)

Based on what though, he's literally making the most goalscoring chances in the league.

Really?! Where have you seen this stat?

Wilson back in this team will be a dream to see. ?

Even two games with Bruno threading through the killer passes would be something to look forward to.

ASM pulling 2 or 3 away from Wilson, Bruno laser vision to Wilson with Willock and Joelinton running in to help. Suddenly sounds much more serious.

A Wilson style striker really is the missing piece. He was good before we got Bruno, can only imagine he's licking his lips at the thought of what he could do with someone who will fire him in at will.

Well this is just the best news to wake up to. Hope he gets in a couple of games and this gives us a tiny glimpse of what next season could be.

Before he injures himself again and stays out 4-5 months.

Hope to see him getting a fair bit of time in our last two games against Arsenal and Burnley. Man City I assume is too early(?) if he had his first training session day before Liverpool after being out since December.

We are going to need a new striker next season regardless, but it will be a good indicator of how effective we could look with a Wilson-type striker in there for the few remaining games. Don't know about you, but I can't wait to see how Bruno operates with that type of forward in front of him as opposed to a Wood or Joelinton.

Be class if he gets some solid game time between now and the end of the season. Still think he can be a big asset for us even as a back up if we do invest in a new forward in the Summer!

A new striker

Wilson (if stays fit)

Wood

For our level that would be decent forward options!

Best we free transfer him immediately eh? Or maybe under Howe over time the bloke won't spend most weeks without training, conditioning and then haivng to spend 90 minutes chasing shadows in hope of a sniff of a chance to actually strike the ball at goal.

I'd agree with that sentiment apart from the fact Howe was his manager untill 2020.

edited.....ps I've no doubt Eddie, with a new signing AND Wood available, would be just the bloke to nurse Wilson through a couple more seasons.

Yeah we really just need an alternative to Wilson to share the main strike duties, you wouldn't want to get rid of him. What would be the point? At 30 he's not going to fetch big money, and he's still top class when he's fit.

Combo of Eddie and teams coaching, different system, & not being the sole load bearer as a goal threat in the next couple seasons should do wonders for him. I don't think he will ever play more than 20-25 games a season again, but we should be in a position after Summer where he doesn't have to.

Also depends on if Wilson/the alternative would be happy with that arrangement, which they likely wouldn’t be unless they are a young up and comer that wouldn’t be expecting to play week in week out anyway.
