In terms of team harmony, Wilson can’t grumble too much if he is out for a while. Never been happier to be wrong! Get in!!!

If he's okay there's no point telling Wolves. Howe will be asked after tonight's game and he'll remain ambiguous. It could be that he's fucked and they want to hide that from other clubs, I suppose. Either way we I doubt we'll know until Sunday.

I'm asking this question because I believe this is exactly what we are doing. 23 hours ago I made this post. I may have got the time wrong, but I got the strategy correct and the player and the fee Someone hoy it into the Isak thread and into the hall of fame for that matter. gazza ladra
From the Athletic. Quote It does not appear coincidental that Newcastle have made such an aggressive move during the week Callum Wilson was sent for a scan on his hamstring. The 30-year-old’s injury is not serious — he is expected to be sidelined for around three weeks, although the club have not provided a timeframe — but it is the latest in a long line of fitness problems and, without Wilson, Newcastle desperately lack firepower. Well crap. Edited August 25, 2022 by gazza ladra

Cronky
I did wonder whether Wilson has been protecting his hamstring. I don't think he's been going at full pelt, and in my suspicious mind, I wondered if he was saving himself for the World Cup. It now looks like there's a longer term problem (surprise, surprise) Isak looks better in a withdrawn or wide role, so it wouldn't surprise me if we still went for Pedro. He looked a bit off pace against Forest I thought but until he came off against City he was moving pretty well. I think he’s always prone to injuries as we’ve seen. Hamstrings are very tricky to manage particularly at this level. Even if it’s minor it will be a few weeks out. You wonder if this move for Isak comes after knowledge he may be out much longer. I just don’t think we can take the risk at this stage of our growth plan on someone who is already feeling an injury three games in. Fantastic player but totally unreliable fitness across a 40+ game season.
LV
I don’t think he’ll go the World Cup even if fit at the time. Too much of an injury risk. I’d love to see him there though

Guest
Massive shame because he's class. Hopefully if Isak is good, Wilson coming on for 20-30 minutes or the odd spell of games here and there might mean he's a handy squad player moving forward and can manage his issues better. David Edgar
He's one of those players that he wouldn't have been anywhere near Mike Ashley's Newcastle without the injury problems. So in a weird way, we only have him because his hamstrings are made of play dough. It's so shit for him on a personal level. He has the ability to play for England and be a 15-20 goal Barclays striker.
Scoot
3 weeks? That's nothing compared to what I was thinking. I had already cone to terms with him being out for at least 3 months.

Emotic
We all know that Howe doesn't throw new players into the mix immediately. By the time Isak is ready to take on a full game, it'd probably be after Wilson recovers. I'd be surprised if Isak starts at Wolves.
Alberto2005
He isn't going to play v Wolves ? But I don't think Howe will have as much choice now, I expect him to be at least on the bench v Liverpool and then probably start the game after.
