MarkyMark
I think someone like Benitez would keep us up - but I’d rather watch a Newcastle team playing Howe’s brand of football if we survive.

It’ll be interesting I think they would only pull the trigger if we we’re still in striking distance of the teams above. Undoubtedly many of us will now be conditioned by the Ashley years and sacking 2 managers in a season seems crazy, but it’s certainly true other clubs would think nothing of doing it. Geordie Ahmed
I'm looking at this as a good result, definitely preferred it to a draw We have games in hand (yeah I know, we need to win those) and we have a better GD than Norwich, a draw and win (again, yeah I know) has us above Norwich Yet a draw for Watford would had them 3 points ahead, with 1 game played more but a better GD so even a win would have kept us below them Ideally Watford-Burnley is a draw or even a Burnley win because before that Burnley have Arsenal away, then after it's Man-U and Liverpool at home
MarkyMark
We can count our lucky stars that there are three teams just as shite as we’ve been mind. We really should be long gone with one win in twenty-one
Karjala
Norwich look the most likely team to get out of the relegation scrap tbf. Games in hand mean nothing when you aren't capable of winning them.

Yeah, was just saying similar to a mate the other day. Watching useless no-hopers like Pardew and Bruce somehow surviving for years has altered our perspective on this stuff. Howe would be coming under real pressure pretty soon at most clubs
Menace
Relying on Norwich for a win to get us out of the relegation race. Fuck me man, this is fucking grim.

I'm not sure. I think we made our choice and have to live with it at this point. There is at least 6 players still here from Rafa's tenure that he was trying to peddle, lots have been vocal about liking Bruce more on top. It would be an absolute disaster and negative appointment from the inside, would be the opposite of inspiring the players, it would be a complete divide even if some fans would love it from the outside. Oh, I’m definitely not calling for Benitez to return / Howe to go. I just think Benitez would have been able to grind results out from the current rabble. I don’t think it would be a smart move to replace Howe right now
LFEE
Rather chase Norwich down rather than Watford based on very little.
Guest HTT II
Awful game in terms of actual football, but highly entertaining and bat shit crazy, how we failed to beat both these teams man… if we could just win tomorrow it could be season defining, absolute huge! Mattoon
Draw would have been the best result but that was the second best result we could have had. Still worrying how Nowich put 3 past them when we struggled so hard last week.

Feels like we have been saying that for a couple of months now... oh wait.. we have lol Another huge game. Table looks absolutely grim. If every match is a cup final we have to win one of them don't we by replaying. Worked for me when I was purposely crashing every losing FA cup final in CM2 and trying again.. Superior Acuña
Fuck what we'd have given for a jammy own goal like that when up against Watford. Good result overall I think.

Holloway
How lucky to be still in touching distance have we been so far this season, we've benefitted from a series of favourable results and there's another one to give us something to cling on to. We're as jammy as we are hapless at this junction

Obviously from a confidence point of view Norwich winning isn't great but if Watford drew I think that could have been worse, especially as they have Burnley next Win that and they are 6 clear of us (assuming we fail to beat Leeds) with a better GD I do think this is a good result, we just need to do our part
