This bloke was a regular caller after every match on radio newcastle, sure he was from the Boro but big Newcastle fan.

Albert was a regular highlight on Total Sport.

He always talked common sense and always explained how he formed his opinions and why he was saying what he said.

He obviously had a great affection for our club, as we all have, but he was able to communicate that affection along with his knowledge, every time he rang in no matter what the specific point he was making was.

I will miss him at tea-time during the season.

RIP.

He was great. Loved his accent, “Hellaw Jurn”.

Sorry to hear this. Really touched me reading about him deciding not to pursue chemotherapy—making tough decision that treatment (at best to extend his life by months) wasn’t worth the impact on his final weeks. RIP.

My mind is blown a bit that someone that was married to Jackie Milburn could still have been alive.  RIP

Yes, she has done well, but 94 isn't really classed as "all that old / lucky to live that long" these days.

Don't think so.

So someone reaching the age of 94 isn’t a crazy age to reach?
