Fwiw, Elliot Anderson would tear it up in Holland. I think Minteh has a much higher potential ceiling than Anderson and the interest in him reflected that. But anyway, we'll see. Anderson whatever he does from here won't let anyone down.

maybe_next_year Posted Sunday at 15:58 Share Posted Sunday at 15:58 My only question is, I don't get how they have another £35 million to spend under PSR rules, thought they'd be cutting it fine too.

They made over 40 I think selling Mangala and a defender who’s name I can’t spell.
Teasy Posted Sunday at 16:08 Share Posted Sunday at 16:08 Anderson has no value on our books, £35m can conservatively allow for £100m+ of spending in PSR terms this season. Great deal for us.

Yeah, also this outlay for Anderson isn't going to really impact them at all on this year's PSR number. It'll be future years where they'll have to pay that off, while the incoming funds all count as one big chunk this year.
Memphis Posted Sunday at 16:20 Share Posted Sunday at 16:20 Cannot wait for the documentary on PSR in a year or two. This is some mind-boggling stuff. If Anderson is worth 35m, Isak is worth 500m easy.
Deuce Posted Sunday at 16:24 Share Posted Sunday at 16:24 Anyway, best of luck to the kid. I think he’s got enough about him to make a decent PL career for himself.

Wolfcastle Posted Sunday at 17:16 Share Posted Sunday at 17:16 Its still a bit bitter sweet, guess it always is selling young local players, but i suppose needs must First goal against us next season would be one of those typical football things

PCW1983 Posted Sunday at 17:18 Share Posted Sunday at 17:18 Good look to him, it’s a shame that we have to sell a local lad to satisfy PSR but that’s the world we’re in. it’ll be interesting to see how this affects the number of local players staying at their home clubs going forward, pure profit is the statement of choice now. More bad, cold fallout from these rules is academies openly being seen as farms to fund spending rather than a route to that clubs first team which would negate having to spend.
