Bruno the deepest for me.

Think the closer we have Bruno to Isak and Gordon the better. Bruno at the base also means another slow player in a defensive position.

We would sacrifice Tonali’s attacking instincts but at least he can get back quick enough to cover when we lose it in transition and look all over the place.

We should play 4-2-3-1

Tonal Bruno as the two

gordon rw

barnes lw

willock cam

isak st

would be very powerful as willock and isak have good chemistry already and he can both run and finish

could be a game changer

would like to try it at some point

Good question. Hard to judge in the current market, but possibly big bucks. Is it right he's got about 18 months left on his contract?

I don't want him to go, but if he gets back to himself as said above, I could see him being our next sacrificial lamb. Which I'm not happy about, to be clear.

£40m+

Smith Rowe went for around 35m I think and he's a bigger crock.

We need him to have a good season. That way we can either offer him a new contract or get decent money if we can't come to an agreement.

Great ball carrier

This part has seemingly disappeared from Big Joe’s game.

Unless we have big concerns about injuries he’s the wrong profile to sell.

You sell lads that are 28+.  Joelinton might take the Saudi money.

Saudi would be golden but I've given up hope of getting anything out of there. If it happens, it happens.

Agree on the surface about the profiles, but I can see the reality working out differently. Part of the problem is most of the serious clubs want to buy younger than 28+ too.

Mad thing is Willock's game is developing still; he actually looks to be the player we had in the 4th season in terms of his dynamism.

If there's 18 months left on his contract then there's good reason to be wary. Tricky situation really, he's not played enough in the last 12 months to be handed a big new contract, but if we leave it too late he might decide to hang on until he's holding all the aces.

He'll be 26 when next season starts. Past that is when it becomes increasingly difficult to sell someone. He's definitely in the category of 'needs decision' if he's productive this season. We need to find another version of him too. Both are next summer problems though; hopefully we get to enjoy watching him.

Big fan of Willock but he looked poor today, and absolutely knackered towards the end.

Hope this game helps him get sharper for the games to come.

He did completely rinse 3 of their lads from the halfway line, mind.

Feel a bit sorry for willock, on his day he's first on the team sheet for me, but he looks like he doesn't trust his body, and who can blame him. He was chasing a ball and almost give up before his hamstring popped.

Been banging the drum for Willock for a long time, but that was a disappointing performance last night. Said in the match thread that when he doesn't have space to run into, he looks kind of lost. I think he needs to be taking players on a bit more given he's one of our attacking players. No need to do anything daft, even just quick give and go's would be better than turning back and passing backwards.

He has always been a stop start type of player for us the entire time he's been here , he looks class for a few games then has a few quiet ones. Not necessarily a criticism of him but that's his level and I do think he's massively overrated by some of our fans . I think Joelinton is a much better player for us than Willock .
