Sell and bring in a midfielder that runs with the ball like that guy said yesterday

Think I’d rather have someone with a great eye for a pass, personally.

Do think EH prefers players who can progress the ball by running with it though.

Actually quite pleased if we get 20m given he has 18 months left on his deal and is clearly someone we’re desperate to get rid of.

Will be less in the summer so hopefully can get it done now.

this is a comparison between Willock and Bellingham after the 22/23 season.

Where’s the stat that says Bellingham was 19 years old during that season and Willock was 23.

Because it’s very important for the reader to understand that context.

Bellingham just had a season that saw him move to Real Madrid for 90 million pounds and was elite regardless of age. My point is that Willock at his best was a very good player and was linked to moves to bigger clubs just 2.5 years ago.

Or Willock at his very best at age 23 was as good as an elite 19 year old in their breakout season.

And unfortunately for us Willock’s very best was fleeting, he’s done fuck all since then.

He's worth more than £20m, but given his injury record, and his contract running down, I think it's fair enough. He's never really produced what he's capable of consistently apart from one and a half seasons. Good deal for the buying club anyway, he'll probably start banging goals in again once he's moved down a rung.

£20m cheap?

Have we not seen his performances for us in the last however many seasons?

£20m is a brilliant price to get for him if someone will pay it!

£20m is basically the starting price for any Premier League player under 30 and with a pulse in 2025, never mind one who has shown they have the ability to be a very good player

Buyer only getting a bargain if they’re getting 22-23 Willock, which by all purposes is more an anomaly than the norm.

Not like we’re selling him on back of some solid form.

Willock has been a waste of a shirt for 2 seasons now

If you asked me to recall the names of every player in our senior squad, Willock would probably be the one I remembered last.

Got nowt against the lad as his attitude seems decent, but he’s been anonymous for ages.

He’s exactly the kind of player we’d keep and get fuck all for. Take £20m and run

That pass for Isak against spurs and that cross for Bruno against Leicester. I’ll cherish them.

People also forget this.

It’s easy to forget when he’s done very little of note in the last few seasons.

Like I said in another post, got nowt against the lad at all but he’s been a long way from his best for ages now.

I’d wish him well if he does leave. Seems like a good pro.
