Smal
he's amazing when he's on form but it happens so rarely that I'm not sure it's ever going to happen for him here.

He was poor until we went 2-0, then he did at least put in a shift defensively.
Kid Icarus
Still getting up to speed. Providing he doesn't break down again he'll be sound imo.

Yeah, I always feel like you cant get consistent season of top performances of the level we now need out of WIllock and Longstaff but you can get a full season out of the two of them alternating if it was that simple
alexf
Yeah was frustrating watching him tonight. Mentioned in the Tonali thread, thought off the ball he looked a little lost and was polar opposite to Tonali when you saw him. However he was still working hard. But he was getting bullied by Rice and Party at times physically and his passing and touch were poor whenever he got it. Even when he had chance to get forward and stretch his legs as one of his strengths, his touch or passing let him down. So think he's still looking for form and sharpness. But currently he's a clear second choice behind the others. Thought he would be best suited to playing alongside Bruno and Tonali in this new system but Big Joe just has more about him to an little Joe at the moment. TheBrownBottle
He still offers something different in midfield for us. The lad has had a hard time with injuries and is rusty. I’m more concerned with whether or not he can ever maintain fitness rather than the odd sub par performance.
OoOGazOoO
I'm disappointed as I really like Willock and I think he offers us so much, but whether it is the injuries, getting back to a higher level, etc... something just isn't working at the moment and his performances aren't where we or he needs them to be. Shame as he is a cracking player when he is on it.
Lush Vlad
Thought he really started coming into it second half. He was anonymous in the first. He was finding space behind their midfield. Always a willing runner to make them constantly turn and sprint back facing their own goal. Did really well to find space for a break. Then a poor pass (and poor play after) to Isak. Was much more involved, at least. Felt like he was going to be important as the game wore on. Then he seemingly got yet another knock and we shut up shop, anyway. So he was always going to make way at that point.

M1tche
Annoying, as today would have been a great game for him to get his touch and passing back a bit. Hopefully, it's minor, and he can feature in the next few games.
Holloway
It's looking like he'll hardly feature at all this campaign, he's almost out of the picture at this stage
Erikse
Still a bit early, but I wonder if he will ever get back to his old self after that long spell out. If he does, he will be an important player for us. Edited January 12 by Erikse
Lotus
Willock is a talented footballer with great athleticism. If he’s having an unlucky period with injuries I think we wait it out. Cast our minds back to the outside of the foot pass to Isak, dreamy stuff. Also can’t forget him constantly busting his gut to get back for one box to the other and nick the ball off an opposing attacker. So, skill, speed, stamina and a great attitude. These are top drawer attributes. He’s having a rough patch for sure. He’s worth waiting for though.

It’s not like he has made plenty of good throughballs consistently.
andycap
This is the lad that I'd shift could get a good fee for him aswell. I like the lad but we can't get a few games from him nowadays without an injury occurring.
Lotus
As with all our players, if we can sell them and buyer a player of at least the same impact, preferably more, for less money and enhance the dressing room togetherness than I’m all for it. I think Willock when firing on all cylinders is a rare combination of attributes. He’s had a rough 18 months. If we’re still still waiting for him to get a good run of games in the next 12 months I’d understand planning to replace him.
80
Looks like 2.5 years left on his contract? We're gonna have to make a plan on his future one way or another. Unfortunately, what we might gain in value from him being injury free next season, we'd lose on his deal approaching expiry, so there might not be much point in waiting around. Lush Vlad
I know it helps with his pace. But I wish Willock would stop playing in roller blades this season.
KingArthur
He seems not fit or lacking confidence. Weak in duels especially even with fresh legs.
