Steve Bruce (now unemployed)

Will package this up as a win to the media the shameless twat.

Course he will. If that petered out to the 0-0 it looked like it was going to, he'd be rightly getting pelters and some difficult questions asked. The fact that a dramatic late equaliser salvaged a point will mask some of it and he'll bravado his way through the interviews.

Couldn’t give a second thought to Bruce regarding that equaliser. Lascelles being the person to score could be massive.

I see that as potentially massive for the squad to bring themselves together to stay up for their own pride, rather than bothering to play for Bruce. That ship has sailed, none of them give a f*** about him I’d imagine.

Captain Optimism here but Jamal scoring like that might bring the squad closer together. He’s one of few leaders we have, and went through misery of going down before. He knows the best as to what it takes to unite a group to stay up, given that Rafa’s form would have kept us up if we ever had games spare. Bruce has relegated more sides than he’s kept up.

Regardless of his ability we think anymore, Carroll can’t be happy and have any faith left in Bruce’s decisions throwing him on for another 2mins tonight. Another senior pro he’s outcast.

Hayden coming off looked fed up, shaking his head in dismay.

First sign of any courage I’ve seen in Gayle in weeks - him running over and demanding that throw in. Fair play to him. Said he was only looking after himself for a new club after his WBA performance.

Gayle playing left, he’s going to be questioning wtf he’s doing wide. Equally Fraser through the middle. Both these players have played at top level long enough, and know the game to see their both playing in each other’s positions. Arse backwards.

Great result in the end, but it’s done nothing to improve Bruce’s position. Couldn’t care now whether he’s sacked, more concerned about limiting his debilitating effect on the squad.

Absolute best fucking result for this cunt tonight. Late equaliser gives him all the platform he needs to spout his bullshit and yet another week will go past with fuck all pressure to get shot of him

‘Demanding support’ getting an airing from Bruce.

Extremely fortunate for him that not a soul has been anywhere near him or the team for over a year then.

Unlike at Villa and Sunderland where it wasn't just confined to online.

Presented as another obstacle for him when its a f**king open goal of his dreams, prize c**t that he is

I honestly don’t think Ashley & Charnley have a clue who to replace him with other than Jones and they probably don’t think there’s any point sacking Bruce when Jones is already there helping out. Fuckin clueless

Sacking the useless cunt would give the whole club a lift

Remember hearing players that played for SAF say that whenever they equaliser in Fergie time they’d go back into the dressing room up beat, and it would be like a win.

Potentially great point in the end, certainly more valuable than a shitfest 0-0 against WBA. Lascelles scoring too, gives that shot of adrenaline into the dressing room that’ll be invaluable going into Brighton game.

Given up hope Bruce’s talents keeping us in this division, it’ll be any fortitude and togetherness within the dressing room that can grind out results with those front three coming back to score goals.

Not a bad shout tbh.

Lascelles need to find himself a move, man. He could still have a shout at the England set-up if he joins the right team and plays under right coach, but he's bang in his prime years now. Two or three more seasons and his chance will have gone. Mourinho should be all over him, and the lad himself shouldn't think twice about jumping if a chance like that came along.

Agree. The one good thing which came out of today was that the players kept going for 90 mins despite the lack of confidence. Might still keep us up despite Bruce just down to that bit of desire to stay in the division.

Geologically as well as emotionally.

Stream was behind the match forum, but saw Disco laughing at Gayle on a long throw and just thought the worst.

But retrospective, him running out and demanding it like that shows a bit of balls. And I was most critical of his non display against WBA.

Might be looking into it way too much, and if we didn’t score at end, or header was saved/crossbar it would be a different opinion - but really good to see Gayle would sprint out to take a long throw, rather than just loaf in penalty area hoping something drops. He took responsibility of situation there, was good to see. Pleased it worked out!

Class man management, just blame Gayle. What a rancid fat cunt.

I thought he was a goalscorer no matter what level or whatever bollocks it was Bruce was spouting last year.
