With Lineker stepping down who's your favourite to take the reigns?

Gabby logan would do a great job and she's been at the bbc for years she deserves it.

Mark Chapman

I've only watched the first episode, but the Copa90 documentary series "Once In A Lifetime: Argentina" feels like a it's going to end up being a must watch for football fans.

Eli Mengem is a quality documentary maker.

Mark Chapman and Alan Shearer in the same studio.  Anyone called Lennon would be bricking it.

Applause. Belated. Very clever

I don't know if it fits here and I know there is a weird hate for the US from many here.

There is a documentary on Pulisic that is just starting to get released.

Even though I followed his career, some details I didn't know and have to give him props for the work put in. Especially coming from a place where there is no infrastructure to help you make it.

Watched up to episode 3, top stuff so far. Especially considering they don't have the rights to any footage. Imagine how incredible it would be with the actual moments stitched in.

Watching the Schmeichel documentary and the first 4 highlights are saves against us.

I honestly think he was the difference between us and Man U those 2 seasons between 95-97.

He absolutely was for me - if KK had spent proper money on a GK we win the title in one of those seasons.  It was always such a strange Achilles heel - a good keeper is worth their weight in gold; I’ve always found it odd that they don’t command close to the fees that great centre forwards do.  It’s the second-most important position on the pitch IMO.

Its a hill I'm prepared to die on, but their 0-1 win against us that season was a more 1 sided game than the 5-0 the following year. And Schmiechel single handedly thwarted us that night.

I always thought Keane was a whopper, but to hear him diminish the impact Schmeicel had on that team in recent years, cements him as an idiot In my mind.

Was Hislop not a record fee for a keeper when we signed him? We never got the signing right, but it wasn't through lack of spending

Tim Flowers was the most expensive keeper in English football history at that point (£2.4m); I think the world record at the time was Pagliuca (£7m).   But you’re right, Hislop was expensive in 1995 (from memory it was the highest fee paid in world football for a keeper that summer).  Even Mike Hooper was a decent fee for the time.

KK never did get it right - I still think if we’d went to Palace (who’d just been relegated) and offered a couple of million for Nigel Martyn, then we win the title in 1996.
