Can't fucking stand patronizing remarks like this mind:

Aye it's not like this has been the only serious bidder in 13 years, the lack of knowledge on the inner machinations of the club is so poor

They’ve all been at it. They’re delighted but can’t help but get a sly dig in too because at the end of the day Newcastle as a city and a club mattters not a jot to them or their existence.

Honestly don’t know where people are coming from. Caulkin is a reporter and was reporting essentially what staveley was telling him. The PL were saying nothing. Not sure what people wanted him to do.

That Caulkin piece with Staveley is absolute rubbish mind, his reputation has taken a battering for me through this all saga

He was clown with the MP Chi to do town hall and give Qatar best ammunition to use it the NUFC fans dont want the takeover.

Agreed.

Disagree

.

His reputation is unchanged, other than it being revealed that having one contact is not enough to really know what's happening. Same with golfmag... genuinely believe he was telling the truth, difference is he isnt a journalist

After all that has happened, pages and pages of Caulkin bashing seem very strange, or are we just lashing out at anyone and anything at the moment?

Caulkin's been exemplary. There are times when people seem to confuse what he's saying he's been told with his own opinion. Interestingly (and apologies if this has been covered elsewhere on the thread) he's said on The Athletic's pod that when the exclusivity ran out Ashley DID ask for money and the consortium agreed to it.

I always find it amusing how no matter what people do to try and raise the profile or protest there's always those who rubbish the ideas but offer nothing realistic that the average fan can do as an alternative. Anything is better than sitting on your hands and just moaning about it surely?!

Chi has wrote a letter to Masters, criticising him for the length of time it took to make a decision and accusing him of leaving the club at a disadvantage. Also saying that the area has missed out on vital investment.

Great stuff!

What decision? They never made one

Perhaps a few more MPs could do that, for the country, not just the North East.

And yet are terrified of a rejuvenated NUFC gatecrashing the party.

They enjoyed it in the 90s - I doubt they’d be so keen to see it this time around.

Don't know what people want from Caulkin like, going on like he should have a crystal ball.

I dunno, checking out his sources would do for a start.

Facts can change, new evidence can come to light, what is true one day might not be true the next.

 keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.

"No red flags"

Any journalist out there who says shit like "the club will always attract interest" can go jump off a cliff. We've been effectively up for sale for an eternity with an owner who bled the club dry, had an insanely high asking price and constantly played games in his efforts to sell in earnest. We finally had a real and willing buyer who even agreed to pay his "retrade" price once exclusivity ended and the league blocked fresh, hungry capital into the club and region.

He's repeatedly stated he believes his source, that he thought the takeover was happening months ago, and alluded to that shite "cans" craic constantly. He fell for it completely.

The shite his source fed him.

Or was he correct all along and I've missed our successful takeover?

Don’t hugely see it that way just that mind. No Saudi is good news for them, and their opinions. Newcastle fans being stuck with Capt Bluejeans for the next 13 years is not news for them and won’t affect their opinions. It’s just a bit snide.

Sean, she was the bloody CEO and figurehead of the takeover. Did you ask George if he had other sources at RB or PIF?

And she's not trustworthy going by her long track record.
