Good letter Chi with pertinent questions.

Await Masters stock reply in two weeks time.

Yep, just seen the NUST letter on twitter, also.

The length of it, and the points made, and Masters issued his copy and paste reply.

No doubt Chi will get the same, stating that its still a confidential process.

Don't understand the Caulkin-bashing, he had a source right at the heart of the deal and reported what he was being told. Reading the interview with Staveley in the Athletic is painful, appreciate it's only 1 side of it but man she seems like she really gets it, what this club could be and what it needs to get here. Would love it if she came back in for us with another consortium (preferably a slightly less decapitation-y one).

I think he's the newcastle fan writer, he is fantastic writer and mostly still good, I do think he maybe seem to be suckered into Staverley's high confidence. He maybe should have been more skeptical tho hindsight is 20/20

Sean, she was the bloody CEO and figurehead of the takeover. Did you ask George if he had other sources at RB or PIF?

And she's not trustworthy going by her long track record.

What long track record, come on then, educate us, I'm absolutely mystified what bone you've got with Staveley. Stop looking for someone to blame man, get over it FFS.

The PL won't give a shit about how many letters they get or who they are from.

Do they even report into anyone?

Agreed. It’s over, move on.

It is absolutely not over, the O&D test is still ongoing, Staveley has said that the takeover would still go ahead if it were approved. Every little bit of pressure that can be applied to the PL to make s decision one way or the other could help, it's better than the alternative!

That’s what I asked on Twitter, how can a multi billion pound company have no oversight

This from Liam Kennedy is the crux of it for me. I mean they were prepared to allow the whole of PIF board to be subjected to o & d test. This would have included Al Qasabi who is media minister. What I fail to understand is why they wanted govt to be named directors, was this just an excuse to then fail it due to piracy links, or did they know this was not feasible, and therefore the deal breaker.

‘The deal hit a legal stalemate around three weeks ago with the Premier League wanting the KSA state to be named as the majority owners of Newcastle United, instead of PIF. This was because the Premier League legal team found it difficult to unpick the links between PIF and the Saudi state.

And while the Saudis declined the prospect of a state purchase, they did offer for PIF itself, the actual organisation, to be subjected to owners and directors test scrutiny, not just named directors such as Yasir Al-Rumayyan’.
