But just weird how Palace looked sharper and fresher when they've had a midweek game and we looked absolutely shagged from the word go. Perhaps he's worked them too hard over the ten days, I don't know.

That’s the issue I have with him - he’s almost too scared to change things

But the amount of times they were flying into challenges and we pretty much pulled out. The shithousing from them. They genuinely seemed a yard quicker to every loose ball. That was us last season. But our tactics seemed well off. As did the effort from most of the players. That nastiness to our game hasn’t been present all season unfortunately. Good enough to batter Spurs though If we praise him for the Spurs game, should be criticised for this dross tonight as well.
SiLvOR
Again, didn't watch it tonight, but one of the more concerning things this season has been our lack of points against teams we should absolutely be beating. Everton, Forest, Luton, Palace. Some of those at home as well. Needs to be a real focus next season, simply can't drop points that frequently if we've ambitions on breaking into the Top6/Top4
Joelinton7
Got Glas-ed tonight. Just wrong. Wholly wrong. Totally and utterly wrong. The wrongest anyone has ever been. Wrong in the purest essence of the word. Look up wrong in the dictionary and it will be a description of us in this match.
aussiemag
We still had enough quality out there to match palaces starting lineup. We were outdone tactically, physically and mentally (confidence/desire).

Smal
Still finding it absolutely staggering that we played the full game with a back 5. We didn't have a shot on target until the 87th minute haha.

I’m not laying blame, it just fucked him. I kept watching them press Bruno and he usually glided through them with ease. At the higher level when you've got 11 players of that quality, teams like Palace get countered and put down. They have some decent players, but our too many poor players just meant we were overmatched.
Gallowgate Toon
Weirdly for him that felt quite a scared set up. Back 5 hybrid, sit deep, ping long counters. In a way I get it in that their real talent is up top but it seemed we needed to get a grip of midfield & spread the pitch out more once the counters weren't working, especially as they play 2 in midfield. TheBrownBottle
Just a bad day at the office IMO. A collective failure - hopefully there’ll be a correction at the weekend, and doubly hopefully we won’t see Burn LB Murphy RB Krafth CB

Ronaldo
Yeah he got it wrong. It happens. Bit concerned about our terrible away form all season but one look at the midfields we’ve put out more or less explains it.

Very passive - I’m hoping with fit squad next year that it stops
et tu brute
The big question for me is the total drop off in away games compared to home games. It's absolutely massive the difference. The press is virtually non existent when we play away.
Kid Icarus
Not sure exactly what went wrong, just that it did. Having said that it's not the only factor, there were some poor performances out there and Palace pressed well.

We have no automatic right to be “absolutely beating” them.
